staggerlee
Good thread. Can't wait myself. Shame he's going to clash with Echo and the Bunnymen but I would rather see Young. I really hope he plays Cowgirl in the Sand. He doesn't play much of Zuma (other than Cortez) or On the Beach does he?

staggerlee
Unfortunately it wouldnt appear so no. I'd love him to start with Revolution Blues, imagine that!! No chance though, of him playing it at all.
Wanderlei
I wasn't keen on Neil Young before he was announced for Glasto. After listening to his stuff for a while my opinion on him has improved. If someone like BB King isn't playing at the same time, i'll definitely see him. I hope he does plenty of tracks from Rust Never Sleeps. Tugger2k
The Doves I take it? I might try em out before Glasto, people have been raving about them since I was 16 and I have never bothered to listen to them for some reason. Any album you would recommend in particular? When are Echo playing?
staggerlee
by all reckoning echo will be headlining the JP on sunday as for doves - 'the last broadcast' is their masterpiece IMO but their all quality!!

cavelier5
If he does 'Cortez the Killer' and 'Old Man' then he could play two hours of noodling feedback for the remaining set for all I care. Jens Wildman
I think On the Beach is his best work but that was after listening to him solidly for two years.

m@cc@
I'd really recommend the Time Fades Away album to anybody who's a fan. I managed to get a copy of it recently and it is up there with his best work, can't believe i hadn't heard it until recently. Sadly it's not available on CD but it is available online if you have a look.
Jens Wildman
...apart from that, I'm not really familiar with his work.
tylerdurden
I'd suggest getting Decade for starters, it should give you a good idea of what hes about, its a decent compilation all things considered, then pop Live Rust in to get a feel of him in the live environment.
