What do people think of the chances of CSN + Nils Lofgren guesting at some point? Neither have dates on the Friday.

Granted Neil is unlikely to do that kind of thing as he's pretty obstinate... but is there a chance? I'll try and get word from him in Nottingham on the 22nd...

Can I just say that I can not believe that I am actually going to finally see Neil Young at Glastonbury For me this is like a genuine, boyhood dream that after twenty eight years of hoping, is, against all odds, seemingly about to transpire.

I hope you can all appreciate how good that feels and I hope that you do or will share this feeling, or even just the tiniest bit of it on the night, and with some of the set lists being posted here,and if the sound is right, it might just turn out to be the greatest Glastonbury night ever

I need to get Powderfinger, Down by the River, Heart of Gold and Old Man (the latter two because he didn't play them in Sydney in January for the first time in a long time).

Saw a bit of him at Big Day Out then his own gig the next night. The Ent Cent gig was phenomenal. And whoever mentioned Four Strong Winds...he played that in Sydney. Was a highlight for sure.

Cortez is probably one of the five greatest performances I've ever seen. And good to see the Day In The Life encore mostly remaining.

Oh...and whoever talked about Cowgirl being dropped....it seemed to appear in about 2/3 of setlists until now so don't give up hope!

...yep, I hear ya!...only I always wanted him to close the festival on the Sunday night, but I'll settle for friday!

I've always thought Neil closing on a Sunday would be amazing too but I am so happy to be able to finally see him play Glasto..its been my dream for years. I'm really pleased that Like a Hurricane appears in the latest set list..hope he includes it at Glasto (or at least at Dublin).

Any of those recent setlists would do me fine. If Cortez the Killer and Old Man are there then the £180 ticket will have been worth it even if I don't see another band.

From what I know Neil Young is pretty aware of how big a deal the Glastonbury Festival is, so hopefully he'll be pulling out all the stops and chucking in a few surprises. Even ancient rock warhorses like Ol' Shakey can get pulled in by the feverish anticipation, the unique atmosphere and the love that will be present at the Pyramid stage in 25 days time. He's no doubt played many many big gigs in his time, but I'd guess not many like this. Same goes for Springsteen.

I'm not usually one for going anywhere near the front at festivals, I always end up either getting a crowd surfers boot to the ear or get literally pissed on by some speed freak Canadian (as happened in 2004), but for Ol' Shakey I think I'll make an exception. :angry:
