PabloCoke
Look, I hate the BNP, I took great pleasure in tearing up their leaflet they put through my door the other day, but I absolutely support their freedom to put it through my door if the other parties are allowed to. Staberinde
So... we all agree then... It was just a lazy 'cut and paste' into the new Glastonbury web site, and the cafe in question won't be there this year.
bombfrog
Their beliefs are remarkably similar to other fundamentalist religions, such as Isalm (subjugation of women, beards, attitude to jews etc)
PabloCoke
The Glastonbury spirit is all about tolerance and free speech. Just as long as you agree with the politics and agenda of the festival. It's the same on this forum, try saying anything about politics which isn't very left wing and you'll get lynched. Tolerance my arse
bombfrog
So you wouldn't mind the BNP selling nice food at glastonbury and handing out their filthy literature??
popcornmaster
Look, I don't agree with most of the politics at Glastonbury, I'm certainly no fan of Greenpeace or Tony Benn but I just avoid them and make my own decisions about stuff. I'd do exactly the same if the BNP were there.
bombfrog
i'm curious as to how you can actively dislike greenpeace? tony benn and politics sure but greenpeace a charity which is attempting to clean the planet up a little, surely can't grate on that many people's nerves

Greenish
As postscript I can think of many reasons that I personally think these groups shouldn't be allowed, however if I took that argument to it's logical conclusion it would mean no Hare Krishna, Jesus army et al, aswell. Storm_NL
Getting back to the point, I remember this place. First saw it appear at Phoenix festival in '95, I think. Been in the building twice. Both times I had horrible food, served with a speed that would make even the slowest of snails jealous. They also tried to talk to me about some religious nonsense, as if me buying their food gave them the right to foist their opinions on me.
muddyslingbax
Most of the people who inhabit these forums for a start. There's a myth that glastonbury-goers are tolerant, but it's all a big lie.

LusciousLucy
I hate to point this rather obvious fact out...the murders are still going on right now and sponsored and sacntioned by our own and the US government. I for one dont have a problem with Twelve Tribes except their over oppression of the womenfolk. Visited the Common Ground Cafe in the Blue Mountains quite a few times, where one of their communes is and seeing the women all very meek and submissive was a bit upsetting especially when the menfolk are all so damn nice and polite. Their lifestyle is very down to earth and very positive, it's just a shame that that God bloke has to be involved with it all making everyone get all silly and defensive over things that the media blow totally out of proportion! And they do the most amazing pancakes and mocha coffee!
