I'm dreading Monday, I have enough clashes without the full line up, timings etc...

At least with coldplay, oasis, the killers and other such imo average bands there was plenty of bands to avoid

I'm bringing 2 virgins with me this year, hope they find a spare 5 minutes to sample the non-musical delights of Glastonbury

even the Wednesday is looking full with me wanting to catch the football, chill with my first pint of brothers since my birthday (the one day a year I drink brothers outside of the festival, brings a lot of the memories back haha) and spend my usual hour or so with the guitar and a few beers at the campsite

Bring on 2009!!!!!!

It's ridiculous!

For the first time in my seven years of going, I think I'm going to see all the Pyramid headliners. I've been grateful to have seen REM and Macca in my time. Never thought I'd see Neil Young. The Boss and Blur are huge bonusses.

Plus CSN, Madness and the Specials, the only way it could get any better is if Elbow, Bees, Spiritualized, Flaming Lips, Arlo Guthrie confirmed!

The line-up is simply amazing. I doubt any other festival on the planet can touch it. I don't always say this, T in the Park last year had a better line-up than Glastonbury IMO. But for me Glasto this year blows everything else out of the water.

It's a cracking line up, so varied and it's got something for everyone - and I bet there are still more surprises to come!

I love the way that my three favourite types of music - indie, folk and dance - are all represented so well. I think the only way to get through the weekend is to attempt to prioritise...even that leads to problems though. Must sees:

Bruce

British Sea Power

Bloc Party

Neil Young (already a hideous clash there)

Bat For Lashes

...and I wouldn't like to say beyond that really, but there's at least 20 or so more that I could easily see myself going to. This is before I budget in time to go wandering through the folk stages and check out the dance village...

This is the bit I hate... when you go past saturation point and you know that with every band that confirms, that's one more band you'll have to give a miss. Earlier on in the year it's great - a handful of bands over the five days. Awesome. But when there's 50+ you wouldn't mind seeing, you face that horrible reality of fitting everything into your schedule... or even having a schedule full stop. Sigh.
