Looking at those pictures its just incredible the amount of booze is served!!

My memory of the bar where we got the drinks was not the same layout as the pictures there. There were pints layed out on a ledge just under the bar that were reachable. Anyway, you obviously know what you're talking about and I'm reassured by your post. Of course the pints dont sit there for hours, but even a minute is long enough for someone to drop something in.

Some guy on the tube started talking to me when he saw I had my Glastonbury wristband still on and he was telling me about how some guy spiked both his and his girlfriends drinks (presumably so the boyfriend would pass out and then this guy could get to his girlfriend )- but when he realised what was going on he made sure him and his girlfriend got back to their tent intime before anything happened...lucky

there are some weirdos at Glastonbury just like any other festival you can't just assume this would never happen at Glasto just because the atmosphere is "too friendly"

totally agree with freddy, weirdos everywhere...trust noone!

glasto-worker whats MDU stand for? I was surprised by the number of tankers by each bar

what glasto-worker said does reflect what I remember, there would sometimes be a few pints at the back of the bar (out of reach of punters) ready, but other times I would have to wait and you would see the server waiting for the pints to be poured!

Guessing 'multiple dispenser unit' or similar. You put a tray full of glasses under it, press a button, and it fills them all in one go. I first saw these on a news item when the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff opened. They get a massive rush at half time, so they need a way to pour drinks as fast as the staff can sell them.

its a combination of things. Due the nature of a MDU pints are flat poured which causes more of a head. Its also to do with the temp of the drink. Its a lot easier to keep a barrel in a cellar cold then lager coming from a tanker through pipes in the open air.
