Beer Amnesty!

Just wondering as its my first time at festival, the beer amnesty thing. Is it like for like swapping ie. tennants for tennants or can i buy the shittiest beer and get something half drinkable in return? Oh do i have to pay anything for this wonderful service? Cheers

no you can take it away hun, although they do have a few seats n tables at the amnesty bit thats playing beats so u can stay there if u fancy x

The Beer Amnesty was cool as f*** last year, you can take the beers away with you smutch...I was a short distance away from it and took full advantage of the bastard! I bought cheap ass shit, it baked in the sun while I was away checking out the bands, came back later and traded in a wheelbarrow full of sizzling tesco value cans for ice cold carlings. SCORE!? I THINK SO!!!

defo cans! they have a big thermometre telling you the temprature of them too! -3 most of the weeekend they were. Not so sure with the above post though, i was only allowed to exchange 3 at a time, but then when they are done, go down with another 3 etc etc

Throw in some friendly warm festival manners and they will notch it up more than 3 cans at a time. I had about 20 cans swapped overall last year. About 4 on the sat and anything we had left on the sunday. Was anyone at T last year raking in on the free muller rice??? HAHA. Nothing to do with the post but hey ho!

Wish i was there, i have an unhealthy obsession with Muller Rice, the strawberry flavour, all we can do is hope there will be a van there this year! hehe

i always wonder about this... seems a bit of a waste. they should just let you keep your beer but still give out free carling.
