Walter Sobchak
Think I remember seeing a £3 hot shower near the Park last year? Will it be there again? Any other suggestions ? Ta
Detective McNulty
Nothing like a good shower to brighten up a festival. Bit gutted there's no hairdryers around, I NEED THE VOLUME!

Kyelo
I would have thought it's less where you camp and more the time you arrive at the shower.

Detective McNulty
Only the good looking people bother showering as they know they've got a chance of sex and don't want to show themselves up with dirty balls and boobs.

Walter Sobchak
I promised myself I would never go 5 days without a shower again like I did in 07. I was humming like a tramp going home on the monday! The 3 quid for a decent shower will the best hang over cure and set my up nicely for the day! gemstarrr
are you serious?! just think what you could be doing in the time you'd have to spend to have a shower every day! yeah sure go for one on the saturday morning or something to make you feel revived but once a day is pointless when everyone else is dirty anyway! knowing my luck i'd probably slip in the mud on the way back to my tent anyway! scudetto_boy
It might be a good idea to look at the Glastonbury guide when you receive your ticket. A map of the site is on it & it'll provide info about where the showers are situated.

jameshunt
Camp pretty much anywhere and remember to put shampoo on your hair before leaving the tent. The glorious British summer weather will take care of the rest.

Mardy
hehehe, we went staright from the site to Heathrow airport, then a flight back to moscow in 2007. Suddenly have to face check-in and the looks from all the other passengers brought us back to reality very quickly

Laura_Babs
I have a vague recollection of actually doing this - soaping myself up in the rain, rinsing it off then towelling dry under a gazebo. I think my mates were hoping for the rain to stop suddenly when I was covered in lather.

Walter Sobchak
The showers you are referring to are at the Tipi Spa Sauna. The problem last year was that many people were paying the £3 entry fee just to have a shower. The problem was that for any sauna users emerging from the sauna for a cool off shower, were having to wait in a queue behind people who were going to have a proper shower. And with there being only two showers, and people spending 10 minutes or more in the showers at a time this caused a bit of wait for a sauna user to get a cool-off shower. And it was using a lot of the vaulable water supply too. By the Sunday afternoon last year, the owner was only allowing entry for sauna users only. Anyone wanting simply a shower there, were turned away. This may be the procedure this year too. And the privacy curtains on the two showers may be taken away too, as this will deter people spending ages in there at a time. If you want a shower and a sauna, then by all means use Tipi Spa Sauna. But if you want just a shower, then best to use the Greenpeace showers which are FREE. The Kidz Field showers are also FREE. And I believe there's another set of showers up by the Cinema Field, also FREE. Oh and Sam's Sauna have private hot showers available. Once again FREE of charge. Shower only users wont cause a disruption to sauna users here, as there is seperate cold only showers there too, which is what sauna users really need.
