Where to camp if you want a daily shower?

If we all lived in tents all year, we wouldn't be quite so sensitive to how those around us smell. Fresh air around your nose can cover many evils... why else would so many of us opt for longdrops every time?

As soon as you get in an enclosed car, coach, train, plane or house you tend to notice

Sadly, I feel the days of stripping off wherever you are with a bar of soap as soon as it it rains have gone. Shame, really.

In follow up to my post about the showers at the Tipi Spa Sauna. Not saying that anyone can absolutely NOT have a shower only there. But that I'd encourage people to try and use the showers elsewhere on the site if they atall can. And that it's possible that the sauna owner may be restricting the showers to sauna users only again this year - maybe every day. Or maybe he will allow shower only users entry. But if too many people are queuing up for the showers, he will then put the restriction on for sauna users only. On the Sunday afternoon last year, the water supply ran out completely for an hour or so. And even when the water came back, he restricted the showers for sauna users only. We'll just have to see what happens this year. He might well have changed the setup around and have one shower post for sauna users, and another two showers for those who just want to have a shower. Just have to see....

I can't even remember if these showers are actually hot anyway. And the water doesn't spray out very fast. Personally I found the Greenpeace showers more refreshing. And that's a better place to go if you want a proper clean up shower. And you don't have to allways queue for hours for these showers anyway. You can get a ticket and they'll give you an approx time to come back again, where you (should) then be able to walk straight in without queueing.

Yes the queues for the Kidz Field showers can be horrendous at times. Would help if they made them non private, and fully open plan communal - even mixed(it was like this several plus years ago anyway). That way will people will shower much more quickly. And people won't have to wait too long. Tip: try going to these showers maybe about 4-5pm, you won't have to wait too long atall.
