gruffcub
Ok, so now the line up has been released i have to say i'm disapointed.. I love Glastonbury so much, and that is why i return year after year, but the line up just isn't up to scratch for people into alternative music/new bands.. Quite often for me i'm not too fussed about headliners on the 2 main stages (aprt from Bjork, radiohead, White stripes, Blur in recent years) but there has always been a LOAD of other stuff to see in the other stages- Jazzworld, dance tents, John peel stages esp. But this year it seems to be alot of boring indie bands in the day and not much of the exciting new music out there... Saying that Thursdsay's line up at the Queens head looks good, Animal collective, and NickCave/Blur on Sunday will be amazing, but can't help but feel it's a very middle of road line up this year.. Bruce/ Neil young are VERY safe oldies, what happened to Grace Jones and Sonic Youth appearing on the line up? This really isn't a moan however, as i will have an AMAZING time anyway as i love the place so much, but wanted to see if any other people felt the same? lianne and craig
The only thing im dissapointed about is that i cant see Foals on the lineup list, but if they were there they would probably clash wiv someone anyway, so just aswell coz there are waaaaay too many clashes for my liking. Fab lineup IMO.
Grimmy
Very poor line up this year IMO, probably would have been better about a decade ago when most of these bands were in their prime

HastingsBoy
Oh FFS!!!!!!! I give up - what do people want!!!! OK so Oasis/Radiohead (and I love 'em)/Razorshite/numerous other indie landfill bands arent playing but christ it's Glastonbury - there's so much else going on - I didn't think last years line-up was particularly special but had one of my best festivals ever (out of 10 Glastos). Is it just that you enjoy moaning?!
fraz
This lineup is wicked, so much going on and some real gems in the line up, the specials, josh wink, the prodigy etc

Kyelo
This is why I keep arguing for a BALANCED line up. People are never happy because it swings from 'young/new/modern' acts one year and then 'old/safe/legends' the other. Somewhere in the middle would do

freehugs!
The Killers, Razorlight, Oasis, Snow Patrol, Keane, N-dubz, Katy Perry, Lemar, The Saturdays etc. V is basically giving the two finger salute to all it's customers.
Androoo
Wow!!!!! I've just seen this year's lineup and I'm amazed!!!! How do they do it year in, year out? WHAT AN AMAZING LINEUP!!!!!!! How am I gonna figure out who to see on Sunday evening? I guess it'll depend on what mood I'm in after five days in festival heaven - if I've still got the energy then it'll be the Prodge, if I'm knackered then, well, I'll be at the Pyramid already having watched Nick Cave so I guess then it'll be Blur. So excited!!!!
Kyelo
I think it is reasonably balanced. The problem is, and i think the argument has been made elsewhere on the site, that there just isn't that many new bands that are of merit out there that don't turn into Indie Landfill. The Arctic Monkeys are probably one of the few exceptions. Mind you i'm an old fart and I would say that.... HastingsBoy
i will go to V one year as i feel it unfair to judge it before experiencing it.. but the glasto lineup destroys any other festival this year.
