jamseyboy
Arrrrgh.....severe head pain. I have colour coded the list so far and based on the must see,s (red), would like to see (green) and watch if i,m passing ( yellow) I only have to split myself into 6 seperate entities. So with this in mind I realistically expect to see 6-7 bands a day.....whereas my list is at present 68 bands long. I think they should run some of the stages in reverse order.....then I would be able to add an extra 2 bands a day. I now have to arm wrestle with the kids......especially with the Young v Bloc Party issue.....I may have to resort to bribery. bombfrog
I'm quite sad so I made myself a potential scheduler (without exact times being known) which shows my potential clashes. Friday 1 - Neil Young / Bloc Party / David Guetta 2 - Ting Tings / The Streets 3 - Jack Penate 4 - Fleet Foxes / Friendly Fires / Little Boots 5 - White Lies 6 - Regina Spektor 7 - Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip 8 - Bjorn Again / Tommy Sparks 9 - 10 - Mr Hudson Saturday 1 - Bruce Springsteen / 2 many DJs 2 - Pendulum / Deadmau5 / Yoda 3 - Maximo Park / Florence & TM 4 - Dizzee Rascal / La Roux / Badly Drawn Boy 5 - Gaslight Anthem 6 - Hockey / Just Jack 7 - Rolf Harris / Eric Prydz 8 - 9 - Peter Bjorn & John 10 - Sunday 1 - Blur / Prodigy / Calvin Harris 2 - 3 - Madness / Noisettes 4 - Tom Jones / Bat for Lashes / Ladyhawke 5 - Yeah Yeah Yeahs 6 - Tony Christie / The Mummers 7 - Status Quo 8 - 9 - 10 - The ones in red are my "must sees" and unfortunately they all seem to clash
Martin Ashford
This has to be the best line up for many years - about half the acts mentioned could and do headline their own festivals - Madness and Fairport Comvention being just two that spring to mind. Every single stage announced has quality in depth. The only problem is that the clash scenario will be reaally hard this year. I think for the first time ever I can honestly say that apart from acts I don't know at all there isn't one that I can point out as being utter crap. There are usually a few on the Other stage! I love the mix of older classic acts like the Quo, CSN and Steel Pulse and the cutting edge bands like Bat For Lashes and Ladyhawke. I've been raving about the line up for months and now it looks just perfect to my old grizzled eyes.
