You can see the Prodigy at just about any other festival this summer. Pick whichever's closest to you and get a day ticket?

Actually to be fair, im seeing them at Reading so feel slightly smug that I don't have to make, what looks like an impossible choice. I have a long standing list of must-see band's that im desperate to eventually get to see all of them.

The Prodigy and Blur are right near the top of said list, and pretty much side by side!

The Prodigy aren't going anywhere in the immediate future... there's always the danger though, that Blur might get fed up again and call it a day for good.

I wasnt gonna bother with them but after thinking about it for a while i think im gonna see them. The two times ive seen outdoors was both on the NME stage at T. You know how cramped that stage is and even although i still enjoyed it i didnt in a way because of that total carnage of not being able to move, im just thinking with there being waaaaaaaaaay more space at The Other stage then it will be much more enjoyable time.

Yep i think thats me just pretty much settled that with myself but again who knows what the hells gonna be going on :):(

good, all you's lot piss off to blur and give us all more room to jump about......"seen prodigy and they were shit"? standing at the back by any chance?

dont understand the "you can see them at any other festival" maybe you can, but seeing them at Glastonbury is a helluva lot different to seeing them anywhere else. If you need to ask why theres no point explaining it.

Prodigy are on a roll live at the mo, but were pretty bad at reading a few years ago. They can be boring, but if it's the right crowd and they are feeling it...

Blur are great live the last couple of times i've seen them, i am def going to watch them. They may break up after these gigs!

Prodigy in April at Brixton is one of my all time gigs ever. They we simply staggering.

Blur for me are history (although absolute top draw) where as the Prodigy is still very current.

I know people will not see it that way, but I love my Dance music......

and the prodge are the best there is at the moment...

It's quite simple

1. If you've seen one and not the other, see the other

2. If you've seen neither, go see Prodigy

3. If you've seen both, go take loads of drugs and wonder about the depths of madness.

Sorted :)

Saw blur in the mid 90's.. seen prodigy loads of times spanning from 94-08 both are great live.

last i saw prodigy was at a festival and i think it would have been really good if the sound had of been decent but it was rubbish. We were actually pretty close to the front but off to the side.. very dissapointing.

IMO the other stage is the worst stage at glastonbury.. hard to get a good atmosphere at it and the sound (from my 10 years experience) is never quite up to scratch.

Having said that, the sound at the pyramid was pretty bad last year (if you were standing in the wrong spot)

Both will be really good shows but i'll be heading to blur.. they will be much more difficult to see again and it will be a really good vibe to end the weekend on.. smiles all round :)

I have seen both.

Prodigy where great in glasto 05 (I think it was) and before in the Sancturay MK (OLD SCHOOL) where they were great but the sound was terrible.

Seen Blur About 10 times and to date have never seen a bad show! That is festivls down to small clubs.

Its a toughy!

When I saw the Prodigy at Glasto the ground shook!

but Blur will do Intermission and you will never ever ever see a better mosh pit!

Have not seen blur live, but have wanted to since I got into them, and never got a chance. Well, this is my chance. Considering they may or may not tour australia, and I'm going to be in Austria for Nova Rock when they play Hyde Park, I will definitely be seeing blur.

Prodigy, on the other hand, I saw twice this year. Once at the big day out, and once at the hordern pavillion (a big box of a venue with little seating). They were f**king terrible.

I can understand how you would enjoy it. It's high energy, they played a lot of hits, and I will admit that I danced my arse off. That being said, they are complete retards. The MCing is just apalling. The amount of times I heard them reference Sydney made me think they were spinal tap or something. They were a mockery of themselves.

Also, having seen two shows, it showed that the things that appear to be done in the heat of the moment, and pretty much completely staged. A band with the randomness and chaotic nature of the prodigy should not be played out like a script. It was really, really, really bad. Every time I saw something from the night before it made me cringe. I understand that it is hard to mix it up every night, completely, but it was fake. Completely fake.

Serj Tankian and Fantomas were playing the same night. Never gonna forgive myself.

seen the both a few times and blur by a clear clear margin.

I'm sort of the opposite of strudders up there, to me the prodigy are one trick ponies, they've done nothing new or thrilling or even half decent since about 1995, whereas BLur have moved on continually, made some genuinely brilliiant music and constantly challenged themselves and evolved.

I'm not knocking the prodigy (well, maybe just a bit :) ) but they're really not a draw for me anymore.

prodigy at exit festival outdoors in 2007 were incredible. had seen them in 2001 outside at leeds prior to that. they were good then but even better in serbia. would love to see blur but prodigy are amazing live in my experience and their new album is fantastic

This one is my only big clash of the weekend, and I'm guessing a lot of peoples.

I always regret not seeing Prodigy in 1995, and I've never seen Blur and was (still am) a big fan. Guess its going to come down to the same point others have raised, do I want a dance, or a singalong at the pyramid to finish the weekend off.

As with a lot of other people this is a big clash for me. I would see both bands over pretty much any other act so having to choose between them is a blimin' nightmare!

I've seen both many times, including when they both headlined Glasto in 97 & 98. To be honest, both of those gigs were not their best, so to see them again at Glasto a bit older & wiser is too good to miss.

On that basis, my plans are to see Blur, as there won't be many more times we'll get to see them together & I think this could be one of those Glasto performances we're still talking about in years to come.

Then again that could change on the day depending on my mood - meaning I would have to find a ticket for Hyde Park 5 days later pretty quick :)

I've seen both bands 3 times now:-

Blur in 94, 95 and 98.

Prodigy in 96 (supporting Oasis at Knebworth), 05 and 09.

The first Blur gig was great (at Rock City, Nottm) and each one after that was progressively worse. In contrast, it was the last Prodigy gig (this year) was their best ever for me. They are top form at the minute. So as trends go, Prodigy should be better. But Blur have had a few years off. Maybe they'll be hungry again for it.

I've enjoyed every single gig and don't know what to do myself yet. I will probably decide on the day depending upon how knackered I am. If I've still got the energy to go mental watching the Prodigy then they win, but who knows. Either way you'll have a good one. :)

But consequently you'll have missed a great act on the other stage. :(
