Clashfinder 2009

I cant get my head around putting bat for lashes and ladyhawke on at the same time (best case scenario is ladyhawke are on a bit later, be easier if she clashed with Bon Iver who i can go see the day before).

surely those two bands have a similar audience? Other than that the first draft tentative schedule looks alright. Friday is slightly thin on good bands maybe.

With bits of the lineup missing, a fair bit of it looks like its going to be not quite accurate - but wow, really good effort on this - nice one! :)

Highly amused that Amadou and Mariam - Yeah Yeah Yeahs clash has now become a Tom Jones - Yeah Yeah Yeahs clash - at least that settles it, Tom Jones for me :(

Wait, Emmy the Great conflicting with Priscilla Ahn? That is bullshit!

is there any chance I would make it back to London in time for the show at The Pigalle Club? Keep in mind I have to get there, check into a hostel, shower, change, etc beforehand.

:) The first draft of the clashfinder is here: http://www.halvin.co.uk/pages/clashfinder09/

There are a lot of question marks in the dance stages, which I expect is because they've one person playing several times during the day. When I get the chance I'll have a look at last year's and see if I can guess the pattern.

Exactly what I've been saying all along.

For example, look at what is regarded as the Big Clash... Prodigy vs Blur.

If you look at the poll on the forum, people are pretty much 50/50 split on who they're going to go see.

It's a genius piece of planning.

I'm sure that's provisional (as is Halvin's clash finder) - unless you're headlining how likely are you to know exactly when you're on 2/3 months before the festival? The later the better if I want to get from spinal tap to japanese popstars!

And cheers Halvin!

It won't get you right to the front, but arriving just before the band on before finish will usually get you a decent spot.

I don't personally think it's worth putting in any more effort than that, don't wanna spend any time at Glasto watching a band I don't wanna see.
