What you can do is press Ctrl-F, type the first four letters of the act you looking for, hit enter and the position of act will automagically be highlighted. How clever!

My quest to make the Avalon stage the most accurate on the clash finder continues, slightly futile given that I have never known a stage with worse time keeping than the Avalon stage, and the fact that Halvin is fairly confident of the times already in the clash finder – but now that I’ve started I feel the need to run with it.

Update to Fridays times:

I’ve heard back from the The Puppini Sisters who said:

“Hi there, this is Marcella. You were right in assuming that 8pm was default MySpace start time. We actually didn't know what time we'd be on, so thanks for telling us!”

So they are now definitely playing when the clash finder says (I’m liking the idea of adjusting the bands rather than adjusting the clash finder)

Anyway, my investigation of Saturdays line-up for the Avalon stage is as follows:

The Martin Harley Band – CF says 1130, the bands website and MySpace also says 1130

Wheeler Street – CF says 1245 but the bands MySpace says 1230 – I emailed them and they replied to say that they are actually starting at 1245 and that they got it wrong – further evidence that Halvin knows better than the bands!

The Lancashire Hotpots – CF says 1400, the bands MySpace says 1400 too

The King Blues – CF says 1530, Glastonbury is not listed on their website or MySpace so I have emailed their record label to ask for confirmation – no response yet

Solas – CF says 1700, their MySpace says 2000 but this is probably a default time. I have emailed their booking agent to get confirmation but no reply yet

Badly Drawn Boy – CF says 1830 – it’s not listed on his MySpace and his website does not seem to be functional, I put on my detective hat and found the company who registered his domain name who seem to be a record label. I’ve emailed them to ask for confirmation but no response as yet.

Eliza Carthy – CF says 2000 – 2100 – not listed on her website or MySpace so I emailed her record company who confirmed that she is indeed playing 2000 to 2100

Edward II – CF says 2130 but the bands MySpace says 2200 which would not give them a very long set and would not fit in with Eliza Carthy before them finishing at 2100. I suspect that this is another case of the CF knowing better than the band. I sent them a message via MySpace to ask them for confirmation.

The Wonder Stuff – CF says 2300 – MySpace says 2000 which seems to be another default time, the bands website did not list a time. I have emailed them to ask for confirmation.

That’s the lot. I’ll try and do Sunday tonight.

Beyond The Wizards Sleeve will be playing twice at the festival - first at the Guardian Lounge on the Saturday from 5pm till 6pm, then they will be headlining the Stonebridge Tent in the evening.
