emma/lee
Hi! I know theres been loads of questions from glasto virgins about where to camp but I cant find any relavent to me! Me and my husband (both mid 20's) are arriving wednesday morning and we want somewhere to camp with a good atmosphere and maybe people similar to us, somewhere a bit central would be good too. I was thinking Kidney mead but not sure now so any suggestions would be appriciated!

precious_lillywhite
Yep, Wednesday morning you'll have the pick of the camping but as you've never been before, I promise wherever you camp will be amazing!! Rather than lugg all your stuff about, just go with the flow, see which carpark you get directed to, and which campsite you come in closest to, and take it from there I'm camping in Pennards this year, but I tend to camp somewhere different every year - I've never camped anywhere bad yet, 7 years in

HurrahBrother
Kidney mead is good. The pyramid sound check provides a nice alarm clock! Close access to the Pyramid, Jazz, acoustic, shower, cider bus.
precious_lillywhite
Exactly. Wing it. Just don't camp right next to a path. Or in anything that looks like it could turn into a lake or gulley.
LusciousLucy
Ok...you are both mid 20s, going to Glasto for the first time and yet cannot find any relevant people iin here... the whole festival is full of people similar to you...they might not be virgins at 25 but everyone is there for one reason only... to be at Glasto! Certainly relevant to one and all methinks yes? Just chat to your neighbours, go to some of the Efest meets, try camping at ...loads of virgins, vets, old and new friends to be met and a killer atmosphere (whole fest has a killer atmosphere obviously). Just dont dump yourself at the first spot you get tired at! And deffo not next to the paths!

Laura_Babs
Hi Emma (and Lee), We decided to camp in the park home ground last year which we found great. We go in a large group, I think last year there were about 12 of us, with the majority of us being between the ages of 23 and 27. We absolutely love it there so I highly recomend it. We will be heading back that way this year.
