billb
We’re coming to Glastonbury for the first time this year in a campervan. Can anybody tell me how you top up your fresh water tank. Are there water points close enough to the van to run a hose? Or do I need to fill containers and try to pour it into the ‘van tank? I assume that waste water tank needs to be emptied into a container and taken to waste points !! Any advice/guidance would be welcome. Octave Doctor
There are freshwater standpipes located in every other camper field - and you are well advised to get in there early and fill as many water carriers as you can bring. No hosepipes I am afraid - so you will have to take a funnel to get the water into your on board tank. As for waste - even fewer places for that - yes you will have to make the trip to the "Smelling Metal Tank of Doom" to empty that out...but you will have a great time - camper is the only way to go!! billb
Many thanks Octave Doctor. I had guessed that it would be something like that. I'd better get some water containers and a funnel sorted out. Cheers Bill

jameshunt
Thanks from me as well...we're trying to figure out our first time in a camper van as well. Desperately trying to work out how long 110ltrs of water will last between 4 people. ....
sagray
About a week - unless you are all planning to shower or bath in it as well.

jameshunt
I think you are being very optimistic to say 110 ltrs will last 4 people for a week! If you don't shower, and don't flush the loo very much then maybe. We take 3 spare 40L wheely water carriers on the roof, and expect we will be using all of them. We also take solar showers, and just fill the bags & leave them on the roof - you can easily pull the shower head down through the bathroom roof vent. Have fun!
