I have just been informed by 24/7 management company that SONY MUSIC is arranging a tent for Glastonbury 2009.

If a band you know are signed with them they could well be playing in it.

The only band I know so far that will be playing in it on Thursday & Saturday is WILL AND THE PEOPLE who this spring were supporting THE SCRIPT, PAOLO NUTINI and GIRLS ALOUD.

Click below to see what bands could be playing in SONY MUSIC tent this Glasto:

After a bit more research it looks like what 24/7 management were referring to is indeed a part of the Playstation tent called the singstar snug...

Set within a Papa Kata tent, the SingStar Snug will be providing entertainment both day and night. You can relax throughout the day listening to live acoustic sets and dance the night away as the DJs keep you moving into the early hours of the morning.............

my contact at 24/7 is going to find out who might be playing. Watch this space !

More info on playstation venue below if your interested:

More info from my contact. ITS NOT THE SINGSTAR SNUG !

that was my presumption.

Its a tent called: THE DIRTY BOOTS TENT ?

Another band playing in it will be RAYGUN. http://www.raygunofficial.com/

The aptly named Dirty Boots tent, after one of London’s music club nights will be showcasing the best new music at this years Glasto when they play host to Raygun. The band perform on the evening of Friday June 26th and follows their own UK tour which is on sale now.

You may have heard it here first LOL. Will keep you posted.

Question is why is this new talent tent hardly mentioned anywhere ??

Did see a post about it being the new name for The Queens Head, but it obviously isnt.

any ideas Neil ? I Know you have heard about it, why is it such a secret ? It's not on any maps.

Can you shed any light ?

if you're right about this being the Dirty Boots tent, then I believe it's sited where the Queen Head used to be, in the Other Stage field.

Perhaps it's secret cos there's nowt worth seeing there?

LOL. Maybe.

In fact that is a very similar reply I just got from Infoman at Glastonbury Festivals when I asked about the tents location.

QUOTE:

It is probably a small venue that would not stand much advertising. Ask at an Info Point when you get on site.

In peace, Infoman

Ha. That tickled me... This post is odd, it reads like spam but it's obviously not... I'm sure we'll hear about who is playing in time. There are so many small stages that don't release their lineups until much closer to the time, often because they're just confirming them now. Stages like Late n Live don't get their lineups out until about a week before - is that there this year, out of interest? Saw some cracking sets there the last couple of years.
