Ahhhhhhhhhhhh stop it with the boring same old polls that mean nothing and give the thread bearing something to do,,

Who the heck cares about the line up eh just enjoy the festival there will be some one there you like if not then i suggest you go to another festival where you may find yourself smiling for once and this may stop you doing silly polls :D:D:D

For me this year is perfect. Imagine you'd won a competition to have six of your all time favourite artists on the bill. Complete fantasy right? Not for me! This year I get Status Quo, Springsteen, Neil Young, Crosby Stills and Nash, Steve Hillage and Gong. It's a dream come true. I'm also a fan of plenty of the rest of the acts so it's like having a special thank you pressie from Michael and Emily for supporting the festival since 1978. I'm chuffed to bits as you can tell.

Having posted so many times that it's not about the line up, I'm really pleased with what's been announced. Some greats, a fair few classics and lots of new stuff I've not seen.

The cabaret/comedy looks very strong this year so even if it r***s I'll have plenty of stuff to see in the dry.

As usual I think it's going to be one of those years when I wish they'd repeat everything for a second week so that I could catch the people I missed first time round.

I can't understand about how people can whinge about what's on offer. If you're not happy there are plenty of other festivals - ***k off to V or Reading or whatever is to your taste and stop moaning. 2009 is going to be a good one.

Excellent! Way more music I like than I'll ever have the time to see, as I wanna enjoy all the other aspects of the festival over the weekend too. Missed last year because of moving flats, so really looking forward to returning to glastonbury :D

Seeing as this will be my second time at Glastonbury, and my first as a paying customer (last year worked security), I will talk out of my arrogant arse and proclaim this year's line up to be the strongest in Glastonbury history! :D

Seriously - excellent line-up and like others, my only worry is spending too much time listening to the music and not enough soaking up everything else that will be going on.

Just want to add - Metric - The Other Stage. Brilliant addition. This is one great band live - Emily Haines (lead singer) has excellent stage presence (saw her last Monday at M/cr Academy 3 and previous to that) and she ain't too harsh on the eyes either, as proved by her second job, as the wallpaper on my PC... :D:D So well done whoever booked Canada's sexiest band.

I think the line-up is excellent as always. There's a huge range of diverse music on different stages that I want to see, that I doubt any one other festival could provide. There's also bound to be random stuff I stumble upon that I've never heard of as well (Frank Sinazi and Biggles Wartime Band last year). Ridiculously excited about the party of the year, and I probably would have been even if a few of my favourite bands ever weren't playing. Bring on the ska!!!!!!!

I'm really looking forward to it. But the first look at the official line up was a bit of a disappointment, because there wasn't much unexpected, and alot of great rumours wern't on there.

Saying that, it is probably one of the best line-ups of any festival, I just expected it to get even better.

Personally I am delighted by the lineup as presented this year - more than enough to keep me happy.

A few clashes here and there but such things can only be expected - I will live

The downside of this abandunce of class musical acts is that I will have less time around the smaller stages of the festival discovering new talent. :D

However although I think I know what acts I am going to, no doubt I will go with the flow during the festival and have a great time; even if I miss a few choice artists here and there...

Anyway there is all the late nightshift stuff to consider too e.g. Trash City so I must pace myself to maximise my festival experience. :)

(That reminds me - I must get into some last minute fitness training asap ! :D )

Well done Michael & Emily you have made at least one of your Festival guests very happy ! :)

what an amazing line-up!! and well done to the Eavis family for attracting artists of the calibre of Neil Young and especially Bruce Springsteen arguably the biggest act to play the festival for years.

For those real music fans who get Glastonbury this line-up is simply stunning and caters for everyone.

For the younger more open minded music fans this will be a great education to go and watch true legends like Springsteen (who is still at the top of his game)

And what a nice change from skinny long haired guitar driven indie bands, Glastonbury isn't purely an indie festival do we really want to see the likes of Oasis, Coldplay, Kings of Leon year in year out?? I've seen alot of new bands over the last few years (including all the one's just mentioned) and let me tell you none (apart from Kasabian) comes close to a Springsteen live experience.

This is a festival for true 'music' fans.
