The first year T in the Park had the Friday(2007)they had 15 acts we have 19 on our first. It also took them 13 years to get a third day, it took Rockness 2. Ok the don't have many big acts but then it's not a massive festival, people need to lower their expectations.

True, but maybe Rockness could have waited a few years to grow? I dont think comparing T with Rockness is fair, completely different festivals with massively varying followings.

I just think that we are now having to pay a lot more for access on the friday night, which is always a great night at festivals as everyone gets smashed and the party gets properly started!

with only having a few main stage acts on the friday, i would anticipate a lot of people will be in no rush to get to Rockness early, and those that live closer to Rockness may just go after work...

Exactly, more than just the music, the atmosphere here pisses all over anywhere else iv been. I'm just glad its a 3 dayer now! Slightly worried that Flaming Lips and Dub Pistols will clash though cos really want to see them both.

I dont think comparing T with Rockness is fair, completely different festivals with massively varying followings.

I think the problem with compairing Rockness to T is the fact that T has in my opinion a huge amount of people who will go every year irrespectable of the line up just because it's T. Trying to lure these people away from it will be very hard. This can only be a good thing really as it leaves the real festival fans to enjoy Rockness.

I do think we need more bands on the Friday, one more would've done but I'm not gonna worry or complain about it. If it means having one less band but going to a festival where I'm not treated like shit then so be it.

Rockness is still young, it will take time to perfect it. Word of mouth is getting about and people with brains are realising there is a real alternative to T. Hopefully people will keep going and the festival will grow and prosper. But the last thing I believe we all want is it to become T MkII.
