No More Special Guests

Dont know if anyboy has noticed but the special guests have been taken off the yellow poster???

also the NME stage seems to be finished apart from faith no more (Friday has 10, Saturday 10, Sunday 9)

and all that is left for the mainstage is 4 (possibly 5) on the Radiohead day.

Line up seems to be taking shape now. Must say I carnt see what the idiots are moaning about I love the lineup

there are usualy 11 or 12 nme acts so possibly a few more to go.

i'm happy with the lineup, but have some respect for the people who aren't. the reading/leeds demographic has changed a lot, and if you look at past lineups, you can see how this year is different to the usual plan. i still think it's a stellar lineup, but there's plenty of reason for the older leeds/reading attendees to be disappointed.

Ive been going to reading/leeds isnce the mid to late 90s and can hosestly say this is my favorite lineup of all time and onr of very very rare times that I want to see all the headliners.

there's only 9 bands on the saturday main stage. doesnt that mean there is still one band to be announced there?

also why are fightstar opening saturday? they got a great new album and are maybe the biggest name who were announced today, certainly according to efestivals. they should be higher up.

I haven't been every year but first went in '96 and I don't think it's a bad line-up-I'm certainly happy enough with the headliners. I would say it's maybe a bit weak in the sense of bands being higher up at R/L than at other festivals, but that often seems to happen and the particular choice of indie band playing isn't completely to to my personal taste but that's no-one's fault, just the way it is. It doesn't seem much less heavy to me than other years, albeit maybe moved from the Main Stage, but the spread is still similar. It also seems to get forgotten that organisers are at the whim of who's available in a particular year, plus had the extra competition of Sonisphere on the heavier side of things, and maybe tilting things heavier one year, 'indie'-er the next helps to maintain the demographic....

I dont like the line up because there is no meat to it. Before the other day i was tempted by prodigy and brand new, but they are playing glasto! (which im going to) Liking one of the 4 headliners is a given, but when im now not tempted by anything else, i dont see the point. Am just going to get a day ticket for the saturday and stay with my mates.

I've been going since the very first one and although I much prefered the earlier line ups people have to realise that music trends change. I'm quite looking forward this year to finding new bands that I might not have thye chance to see if the line up was filled with my favourite bands.

Well I think this is the worst line-up Leeds has had. Some good acts playing, don't get me wrong, but on the whole it's plain weak.

I've been going since... 03 I think... worst line up for me since then (except Leeds Sunday, possibly the best day of my life), but a terrible R/L lineup is still much much better than most other festivals!
