Friday-

Kings Of Leon- One of my fav bands, love the old stuff and alot of people have slagged off the last album, but if you take it as a chill album is top. Knocked Up near the end of the set will be a highlight of the festie.

Kaiser Chiefs- Have always liked them and are a great festival band. Will be good warmup to Kings

Really not interested in alot of the other bands on, may see FOB for comedy value but will be at the festival republic tent checking out the other bands, am gutted I missed Sergeant and White Lies there last year so will be keen to see who is announced

Saturday-

Arctic Monkeys- Love both there albums and hoping the new one lives up to the others. Great live act seen them 3 times previously

Prodigy- Havent seen them yet but heard amazing stuff about them live. Liking everything I have heard of theirs and buzzing to see them

Maximo Park- Would have liked to have seen White Lies and Glasvegas but will be on same times as Prodigy and Arctics. Never seen these live but have had the chance to previously, know a few songs but will be a filler band as no1 else is on I will want to see as of yet at this time

Ian Brown- Absolute legend and going to be one of my highlights of the weekend

Courteeners- Seen them a few times before and love them. Great to see at a festival to get me going, new stuff is sounding good aswell

Enter Shikari- Great live band and played there 1st album to death. Am hoping new album will be good and being outside at festival will make it good eventhough they are better in a tent

Eagles of Death Metal- Seen them twice before and enjoyed them. Frontman has amazing tash and dedicated every song last time to 'rock n roll' and 'the ladies'

The Rakes- Loved the 1st album, liked the singles off the 2nd and havent heard the 3rd album. Will take me back to when their 1st album came out and will be my 3rd time of seeing them

Sunday-

Radiohead- Band of the weekend most probably. One of my fav bands ever and know they will be amazing. Seen them live 3 times prevous

Bloc Party- WIll be there to get there a good place for Radiohead, had to watch them last year and just annoyed me so will be hoping for alot better. Even they said they blew there shot last year

Gas Light Anthem- heard good things so will get a few songs and check them out

Frank Turner- Again, heard great stuff about him and I have atleast 1 mate who loves him so will tag along

Am really hoping theres some good acts in the alternative tent and the FR tent. Phil Jupitus, John Cooper Clarke and Henry Rolins were great last year and loved catching Glasvegas in there aswell.

Enter Shikari - they're not bad and seeing as I'm staying at the main stage all day, hey, why not!

Ian Brown - Legend!

Maximo Park - Awesome band, loads of fun and energy

PRODIGY! - PRODIGY!!!!!!!!

Arctic Monkeys - cos I likes em and I know their tour managers missus

Won't be moving from the main stage all day by the looks of it!!

Saturday

Vampire Weekend - like their album, I'd like to know more

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Great band, Karen O is a great front woman, lots of energy

Bloc Party - cuz I like em

Radiohead - Legendary and well known for putting on a good show.

Sunday

FFAF - cos I always see them when they're on!

Deftones - Haven't seen them and really want to!

Placebo - my mate hasn't seen em before, I wasn't that impressed last time they were on so I'd like to see an improvement.

Jamie T - I like his clever, thought provoking lyrics

Apart from that, I'm waiting to see who else is announced, those choices are subject to change, apart from PRODIGY! :D

I'm not actually going, so this is a tad self-indulgent - but after reading through all the recent 'the new announcement is shit' threads on various forums and not being entirely sure as to what extent I agree with the sentiment, I saw this thread and felt compelled to work out who I would actually want to go and see were I actually going - think it would probably be this:

Sonic Boom Six 2/5

Manchester Orchestra 3/5

Deftones 3/5

Placebo 3/5

Kings of Leon/Faith No More 3/5

Dinosaur Pileup 3/5

Patrick Wolf 4/5

Rival Schools 4/5

Mad Caddies 4/5

The Prodigy 4/5

Arctic Monkeys 4/5

Brand New 2/5

Vampire Weekend 2/5

Yeah Yeah Yeahs 4/5

Radiohead 5/5

Radiohead is the only one that really, really thrills me - although I don't think I'd be able to miss The Prodigy's set either - and theres only 3 acts I've had to omit because of clashes (Bouncing Souls, Ian Brown & AFI) - which strikes me as a bit weak really...

... but with 2 more stages to go thats actually really good - another band or so for each day and thats about as many I usually watch over the weekend anyway just because its too much hassle to be rushing about everywhere...

The Aggrolites - One of the many bands I didn't really know before but spotify showed me the way after they were announced. Excitement Rating 4/5

Streetlight Manifesto - Music doesn't blow me away but they sound like a lot of fun. Excitement Rating 3/5

Mad Caddies - Another spotify discovery and possibly my favourite of them, can't wait. Excitement Rating 5/5

Eagles Of Death Metal - Quite like there sound, get a decent spot for Enter Shikari although it shouldn't be too hard this early on - Excitement Rating = 2/5

Enter Shikari - Amazing band and havn't seem them live before, one of my favourite bands and can't wait for some new tracks and SYNAW - Excitement Rating = 5/5

Maximo Park - Decent band, will get a good spot for Prodigy at the least - Excitement Rating = 3/5

The Prodigy - New album is immense, expecting something pretty epic - Excitement Rating = 5/5

Rise Against - Amazing band, seen them is Sheffield and turned out to be one of my favourite gigs ever. Will definately be seeing these over Arctics - Excitement Rating = 4/5

Saturday

Metronomy - I like them personally and it should be good fun, would have preferred them on main stage for more dancing like an idiot space Excitement Rating = 4/5

Passion Pit - Need to look into them more but other than 'Sleepyhead' I don't think I'm a huge fan, will get me close to the front for CC though - Excitement Rating = 2/5

Crystal Castles - Really looking forward to this, will be pretty amazing and a good sweaty rave hopefully, bring it on - Excitement Rating = 4/5

Bloc Party - My favourite band ever and I was over the moon that they're back again, although shocked, not as excited as last year but will still be amazing, got love for these - Excitement Rating = 5/5

Lostprophets - Not a huge fan but they have some great tracks that I like, will be a great atmosphere in the tent although I'm guessing I'll be at the back, should be decent nevertheless Excitement Rating = 3/5

Sunday

The Ghost of a Thousand - Good band, new album soon, one of the few heavier bands I like and will definately pay these a vist - Excitement Rating - 3/5

The Flatliners - Like both their albums and seem decent live, looking forward to this one - Excitement Rating = 4/5

Alexisonfire - Hoping to catch them atleast once, really hoping they don't clash with two bands I really want to see which looks possible, really hoping to see them though - Excitement Rating = 3/5

Little Boots - Atmosphere may be a little gay, but I like her singles so far, going to be hard to find someone to go with though - Excitement Rating = 3/5

Placebo - Will be my highlight for the Sunday, epic band and I've never seen them live before, really looking forward to this - Excitement Rating = 5/5

Anti Flag - Unless by some small chance the FR headliner appeals to me, this will be my festival closer, they're not the best recorded band but the atmosphere at their gigs is great and they have a great fan base, hopefully the lock-up won't be too small for some circle pits - Excitement Rating = 3/5
