Well they're at other Festivals for the friday and saturday, so they physically can't do Reading, unless they only played one of R/L, which wouldn't happen... I could see them playing Brixton, but I don't see any mention of it anywhere on the net...

They won't be playing - how in any way are they as good as confirmed??

And Re: Tool in 2007 - there was a hush hush rumour going round they were gonna be announced at some point for R/L (bit like the FNM thing this year) - Neil put them up as a rumour for a week or so but it never materialised.

Its getting quite annoying that people are still talking about Offspring as a possibility, the rumours should have died when FNM said they were playing, if not on the day of the main anouncment.

In 2007 Tool did two nights at Brixton Academy (I think on the Monday and Tuesday of the week before the festival) but didn't play R&L. I remember Neil adding them as a rumour but only due to circumstance rather than anything concrete.

We're pretty much looking at exactly the same thing with The Offspring here with their Brixton show being on the Tuesday of the week before the fest.

France is hardly much further away from london than leeds.

They are doing Pukkelpop (http://www.pukkelpop.be/en/line-up/) in belgium the weekend before Reading and Leeds, theres a little bit of cross over but not heaps

Maybe Offspring will be on Main Stage Sunday at Reading... line up is looking rather sparce that day.

For what its worth, I would love to see Silversun Pickups added that day too!!!
