I think maybe people we need to cast our minds back to an interview Emily Eavis did at the start of the year when she said 2009 Was the 'year of the comeback'

Ok we have the specials, but nothing much in the way of big names otherwise

There's something I don't understand.

If Emily Eavis is worried about health and safety in the park special slot, then why would she tell us that a 'massive' act is playing there. Surely that would cause large amounts of people flocking there just to see who it is, which is almost as, if not as bad as telling us who it is.

Also, she said something at the end along the lines of 'it'll happen for those lucky fans who happen to be there.' Well that doesn't sound like large number of people going to the Park to see who this act is.

I think the big act might be on another stage, I think the Queen's Head has some special guest slots. This way not many people would know, and their lucky fans would happen to be there.

(I think somebody might have mentioned this before, either way it deserves a second mention)

End of the day, the two big stage acts it clashes with (Kasabian and Pendulum) are two acts which should be good value live, but also two acts who regularly play the festival circuit and gig regularly.

I'd rather stay at the Park, think I'll head there after Passion Pit finishes in the JP at half 7 (secret act is due on at 9). The chances of a special gig are high and even if its an act I don't end up liking, the build up and the atmosphere should be something fun.

By the way there is an hour long special guest slot in the Queen's Head on Saturday, which according to Clashfinder starts one hour after the end of Doherty's set, which would give him enough time to get over, no? (that's assuming the secret band is the Libertines)

I'll be realy suprised if it's not The Libertines, everything points to it. Even Carl Barrats new film comes out around the time, nice publicity.

I'm also wondering, who's the special guests on the Pyramid stage? If it was Radiohead, Muse or even the Libertines that would be the place? Or am I way wrong?

I said on another thread, Everyone seems to think The Libertines (oh god i hope its true) but how about Babyshambles?

They played a surprise gig at the Great Escape Festival earlier in the year, and the same person helps to book acts for Glastonbury i believe?!

either way, Not long to go till my first Glasto :P<_<;)
