Been waiting for this ever since I first ever visited Glasto 14 years ago! Sorry folks!

What a strange start to a thread!

Anyway, Quo will be superb - a great load of party tunes in the blazing sunshine with a cold cider in hand.

And remember - your in the army now.

Looking forward to this, fun+1.

Has anyone else read that Harry Hill book called Flight from Deathrow?

The talk of Status Quo has made me think of it. In the book a visiting Chinese government official is desperate to get his hands on the latest Status Quo album (as it was never available in China) and ends up riding his landlady to Tower Records and going crazy there.

3 chords?? why not, it's rock n roll... how many do you need?

Caroline, Down Down, Rockin' All Over The World, Whatever You Want, Again and Again.... and a few others (but please, NOT In The Army, or Livin On An Island or anything newer than 20 years old really...)

play those (^above) songs, and tell me you don't want to see them

This thing about three chords is absolute tosh. Sure, a few songs are based on a a three chord 12 bar boogie - Junior's Wailing for example, but on the whole there's as much variety in the songs as bands like AC/DC and the Stones. One of the trickiest songs I've ever played live is Whatever You Want which has a drop D tuning and a solo over a very unusual chord sequence. Really, the only thing you can say about Quo is they always deliver and they make you want to jump around like a gorilla on speed.

Never really been a quo fan as such, but every song is bound to be a crowd pleaser, easy to sing along to no matter how drunk you are, and a band who've been playing these songs long enough to be damned near perfect by now :D

I'll be there I reckon, though Sunday is going to be a real guilty pleasure day!

Not that I really agree with the expression "guilty pleasure", I mean if you get pleasure out of something then why feel guilty just because your mates are too snobby to give it a try - they might look cool, but you're the one getting all the pleasure!

I reckon out of 150,000 punters there will be a decent Quo army there plus a few new recruits. I've always been a bit of a rocker (Motorhead, Sabbath etc) and Quo albeit a tad lighter will and do deliver everytime. Not to be missed.

What time and where anyway?
