I saw a short interview with TMZ, the guys that created the rumours, in which GSP said they are not true so we might not find out but I think GSP wouldnt walk away from fighting yet, especially not yet after a 'close' decision like it was.

Hell of a fight, it was a proper war. I think the result was fair too, impossible to separate them IMHO, they both had moments of domination and close to losing in equal measure.

The rest of the card was OK, particularly the upper half of the card.

No-one wants to see someone fucked up in their later life, GSP has taken some serious damage during his career, who knows what future effect its going to have his health?

UFC on tonight. Gutted Condit/Matt Brown was pulled from the card as Brown is injured. Still some potential brilliant fights on the card though.

The UFC card was OK, I really like Lauzon, but that fight was a little dull, the 2nd fight was fairly dull too, but the top 2 fights were good to watch. Hated the Fox coverage though, the way they cut the wolverine trailer into the prefight montage was cringeworthy and reeked of commercialism in the worst possible way. the montages at the beginning are one of the best ways to get you hyped for the card, this was just sloppy.

I think Silva is gonna paste him personally. I know Weidman is shit hot, but I think a focused, serious Silva is far more dangerous than the Silva he fought the first time.

I reckon Josh Barnett v Browne is gonna be a WAR

and I hope (even though its incredibly unlikely) Meisha Tate can shut Rouseys mouth properly. She needs to strike, and GTFO - rinse and repeat, if Rousey gets hold of her arm its all over, and I can see RR breaking her arm again.

And I also reckon Uriah Hall is gonna get beaten again, and possibly get cut from the UFC.

Its a great card all over tbh, but the big one is the one I'm looking forward to the most. Silva is one of the few fighters where I can shout upstairs "Anderson Silva is fighting" and both the wife, and the kids will come down and watch.

I have never been so excited for a sporting event. Been thinking about this fight every day for the last few months.

I hope Silva wins because he is my favourite fighter but I have no clue what will happen. Weidman is out there to prove it wasn't a fluke and Silva claims he is 'back' and fully motivated for this fight, such an interesting fight.

Rousey/Tate I will be cheering on Tate but I think Rousey will win again, I'll say 2nd round armbar this time.

I'm even going to order BT Sport for this event. Usually stream live but streams have been playing up with me lately. Not going to wait and download it the next day as I have work and it will be Sunday night before I get to watch it.

I will be feverishly refreshing my torrent page until the Sir.paul 720p shows up. I will then sit and patiently watch the torrent progress bar creep its way towards 100%, and press play. no adverts, no bullshit, just UFC goodness. And when Sir Bruce of Bufferston bellows "It's time!" theres a very good chance I could be on my 3rd beer.

actually, I'll probably grab the SD version first, then download the HD version whilst watching the SD, 3 fights in and it should be done.

Well that was a letdown of an event. Rousey Tate was a blast, and brown Barnett was good, but holy shit the ending came right out of leftfield!

Weidman dominated him in the first five yet people are still saying he's unproven. What a joke. It was a cracking show that. The first title fight was a LOT of fun.

I wouldnt say he's unproven, he has knocked Silva unconscious twice now. But Silva took a worse pasting from Sonnen and still won.

Its a shame for both of them, CW will hammer Belfort, I dont even see why Belfort is getting that shot tbh, I would say Machida is the logical next fight for CW tbh.

Belfort is an awkward customer for anyone really. He can give trouble in those first two minutes, but if you get past that and grind him down, the fight is over for him. Machida... he doesn't have the speed, but being as unorthodox as he is could cause some real problems. Would be an interesting fight.

Belfort is getting the shot because he's beaten Akiyama, Johnson, Bisping, Rockhold and Henderson in a row (exclude the Jones fight which was at L/HW and was on short notice).

No one else in the division has that record against top tier opposition.

Belfort has only lost to Anderson and Jones since 2006. Great record if you ask me and fully deserves a title shot as he has been on fire this year.

Rousey headlining UFC 170 against Sara McMann who I must admit I have never heard of.

Cormier/Rashad is co-main event now.
