What an awesome night, the atmosphere was brilliant, the swedes were out in force. Dan Hardy did a great job, as did Andy Freedlander. Just watching the C5 coverage, and I think its pretty good. Forrest is a little bit uneasy.

We had amazing seats, and met Dana White and Stitch.

Thought the Ch5 looked pretty cheap from the brief time I watched it, but they had decent analysis. BT had a cracking wee bit in the O2 and the analysis was decent too. As said, Hardy and Freedlander did a good job.

Neil Seely should have earned a place on the Dublin card.

Jimi Manuwa was doing not too bad until the eyepoke, and he got too aggressive after that. A learning experience for him and it's why I thought this fight came at a good time for him.

Gusty is the #1 contender again.

Signed up to Fight Pass last night so got a free trial for a week and then it's £6 a month if I decide to keep it.

Been watching fights that I've never seen before.

So far I have watched:

Diego Sanchez vs Clay Guida

JDS vs Werdum

JDS vs Struve

GSP vs Serra

Just about to watch GSP vs Serra 2

Probably be spending most of tonight on Fight Pass until UFC 171 starts. Card tonight has potential.

Well 171 was a bit of a letdown for me. Gutted about Condit - he's my fave fighter in the UFC

The Lombard fight was disappointing imho, was hoping for a real display from HL, although credit to Shields for weathering the storm while it lasted, his gameplan was pretty much spot on.

And the Sanchez fight was never gonna live up to his Melendez fight, and it didn't.

The main event saved it though, what a great scrap. Lawler really left it all in the ring. I thought he had Hendricks beaten right up until the last minute, you could see he had nothing left to give when JH took him down, shaking his head as if to say "Thats all I've got" 1,2 and eventually 5 to JH, 3&4 to RL.

Finally getting on with last week's Bellator.

Alexander Volkov vs. Mighty Mo - Heavyweight Semi Final

Looks good on paper this actually. Spectacular head kick finish to the fight here as Volkov beheads Mo. Volkov was all about the kicks but he was keeping them low, so the switch caught Mo completely off guard, but there was a cracking knee before it as well. Good work from Volkov in the end.

Adam McDonough vs. Nathan Coy - Welterweight Semi Final

McDonough's counter striking in this fight was excellent. Three separate times he had Coy completely rocked before he finished the fight in the second round. The referee stepped in when it looked like Coy might have been defending himself but the referee was right, as that was hollow defending. Coy was completely out of it and was only going to get brained some more.

We get to see Rick Rainey destroy someone in a prelim before we continue with the main card.

Joey Beltran vs. Vladimir Matyushenko

The janny! A couple of veterans in this one, which might have had a few folk tuning in. Not sure Matyushenko did himself many favours by staying on his feet and swinging for the fences. Seemed to punch himself out and Beltran seemed to be happy for him to do so. It also showed that things can be much easier for you to get a tapout win, if your opponent is too tired to do much about it. It's not something that gets picked up on enough, although these commentators did.

Another thing on that note actually. The commentators praised the jab of Matyushenko which is common enough, but one of them then explained the importance of a good jab in a striking fight, which isn't picked up on as much.

Lavar Johnson vs. Blagoi Ivanov - Heavyweight Semi Final

They make a big deal of Ivanov and his life, and of course we know Lavar Johnson is no slouch. So this is a fairly easy fight to sell. What a performance from Ivanov here btw. From full blown Powerslams to a wonderful ground game. He did give a good fighter a proper ragdolling in this fight so full kudos to him. He has earned his praise.
