Was thinking there must be so much i never saw or discovered at my first Glasto last year but blatently would of loved if id come across and it must be the same for so many others.

This got me thinking and If you found apart of the festival you loved or reckon needs to be checked out then recomend it to others here, especially if you have pics!

Im gonna have to mention the pub in the park area.

Cant remember the name but is on the right hand side as you come through the entrance at the bottom end and they serve organic ales and ciders plus have acoustic sets from some pretty good acts (am sure the young knives played in there last year but missed out unfortanetly!).

It's decked out with wooden beams covered in fairy lights and has bean bags to sit down own plus loads of human size games etc.

Best place to chill out for abit!

If you are walking east, between the final exit/entrance of Pennards and before you get to the big Green Fields crossroads, look for the little entrance off the railway track on your right. That is how you enter the Permaculture garden from there...or go onto the Green Fields and find it that way. Tis a lovely place.

I loved the Permaculture area. It's just on the south side of the Old Railway Line if I remember correctly, close to the Greenpeace fields?

While we're on the subject, I have a vague recollection the year before last of finding a cool secluded outside bar which I loved. If I remember correctly, there were some steps down to it from the Old Railway Line (north side) on the way up to Lost Vagueness. You couldn't really see it from the track, but once you had gone down the few steps, it all opened out and that was the only way in or out.

Anyone know what I'm on about? Did I dream it?!

For those more familiar with the Music Stages at Glastonbury try the Healing Fields, where there is a very alternative, chilled and relaxed vibe..

Here are a couple of photos I took a few years back to give you an idea :

This is a great place to come for a wind down and recharge your batteries ready for further Glasto adventures :)

EDIT: Circle dancing not obligatory but fun if you are interested

PS Here is a picture of the Cafe in the Permaculture Garden mentioned earlier - they serve lovely pakoras there :)

I second this as a recommended place to visit.

This thread reminds me...

back in 2005 me and my boyfriend were wondering through the tipi field and came across a nice little cafe/bar. It was in a yurt/big tent and had cusions on the floor. There were lots of random people with instruments just peforming sets. We had a vodka and orange and just chilled for a bit. It was really nice. But then in 2007 they moved the real tipi field (I think) and I haven't found it since. I'd love to know if that is still in the tipi field. I thought I had walked through the real tipi field since but not sure as it really didn't have the same atmosphere or feel as before.

This sounds like the end that was next to the tipi fields last year. sold some food and hot drinks and had cushions and a little stage with some musical acts performing
