Pulling a Sickie?

i dont really want to go to the docs and get a sick note, i'd feel an even bigger fraud!!

i have to self cert for the first 5 days, i work Mon - Fri, I'll be off Thur, Fri and the following monday if i end up taking the Wed as our travel arrangements aren't finalised will i need a docs cert? it would be 6 days in total or does it only count as work days? i.e thur, fri and mon = 3 days?

You self cert for the first 7 days (work or off), so no. Don't go dragging your GP into this fraudulent activity though!

no worries dr billy, i have no intention of dragging my doc into this, i just remembered that a girl at work was told to bring a sick note off of the doc after the 5th day off work, that was a few months back, i seem to remember a manager (or the likes) being asked.

I found the hand book and it states up to 7 days of sickness, self cert. Docs medical certy on the 8th day!

think i'll go along with what the handbook says
