Anybody getting bored of this forum?

i dont know why, but i just dont feel like posting here anymore. i used to be a regular poster in the v forums, but lately havent really been in here, i have no idea why though.

anybody else feeling the same way? (more aimed at long-time posters, sorry all you "noobs" )

somebody best think of some kick ass threads to keep me entertained.

Thing is...given the lack of announcements we've had to date (2!!!), apart from trying to set the dickwads that think having N-Dubz appearing is a good idea on the right path, theres very little else to talk about.

Although...in saying that, theres been some good banter so its not all bad!

i think its alot to do with the newbies to this forum, there seems to be loads on the V pages particularly, not saying they shouldn't post or anything or that they are bad people or anything. i think it just takes time for people to start writing interesting stuff.

I'm liking the Download forum this year, everyone seems excited about the festival. The difference in tone is completely understandable, for the most part everyone is really pleased with the line-up, constant announcements & dialogue between organisers & customers. On here we've had 2 announcements, a f**king dreadful line-up & a shit load of noobs who are excited at the prospect of seeing The Killers/N Dubz/Taylor Swift.

I can't see where I said it is childish to complain, I can't see where I even implied it was childish to complain. I was just saying it was all getting childish. I sure as hell had a lot say elsewhere when TaylorfúckingSwift was announced and SS pulled out. Actually, to be fair, I am pretty childish. Oh. Shi.....

This is why I never buy the early bird tickets.

I'm also going to Download, I haven't ventured much into the forum. I'm just trying to think of a way to get out of seeing Slipknot... Bloody damn considerate Download people...

As for the N-Dubz thing, I will go see them, I think they're fun, I am not a hOOOOOOge fan of them, and neither am I excited about seeing them, I am just totally loving how you are all getting so wound up about a few acts. The line up is actually a great line up for me, lots I wanna do and see, a fair few I don't. Same for Download.

And to make it even better, it's weekend off work, drinking, dancing and chatting to great people.

I quite like this forum as there is good discussions on people who love it or hate it! Rather then the other forums like glasto, reading et cetc where it is a love in.

In my humble opinion (not honest, cos I'm holding back a little here) actually there are a lot of threads that are started by the big'uns (sorry to use playground terms, but it is just getting a little childish right now), saying the same old 'I'm not going to V next year because the line up is shíte', yet I can bet my last penny that the same people will say the same next year... I think judging by the behaviour and attitude of some of the regs here you really can't write anything without some posters epically failing everyone for daring to voice their own opinion and then flouncing about like they own the board. I expect this from hormonal women on the parenting forums I use, but not festie fans, last year you were all so relaxed and there was a certain level of píss taking, but this year it's just getting bítchy. I didn't join the boards for this. But I'm not gonna flounce about, I'm gonna carry making the silly comments I make, in the light hearted and very annoying way I always have done.

FTR I am not a newbie, I had a change of name at the beginning of the year.

I'm quite new to posting on here but did a lot of reading last year....

From what i can see the difference this year is as others have said - the lack of rumours and announcements and also the fact that people aren't necessarily getting as excited about the few rumours we are getting because of some of the less appreciated (trying to be polite) bands that have already been annouced and the fact that any new rumours are likely to follow suit...

Saying that it's not even June yet so there is plenty of time for the board to liven up a bit - i know that i have started to get excited now - i know who i want to see and the rest of the time i will wander round, see some unknowns, go for a mojito in the bacardi tent and generally enjoy a weekend away with 30 of my mates....
