Can you not contact Royal Mail? If he's signed for the tickets then they will have the signature saved, then can you not contact see with the proof and say that someone who does not live in your house or is of any relation to you has signed for your ticket and see where they can take it from there?

Contact Royal Mail and through them you'll be able to find who delivers to your area and then can get hold of his/her delivery records.

Worth a try, that is partly what recorded delivery is for!

Messing with the Royal Mail is a serious offense. He has, at the very least, committed identity fraud, obtained goods by deception and most importantly tampered with the mail which is serious and you should inform the police and the Royal Mail. You made an innocent mistake with the address he has been a thieving scum bag and the law is supposed to help the innocent overcome the scum bag.

Grandads thoughts are with you brother, good luck and if he behaves like a tw*t when you confront him remember to keep your hands in your pockets because assault charges are not a bundle of fun.

I am confident we will see you there!

It is important to get the police involved, especially as your tickets were sent by special delivery.

Informing the police will get you a crime number, which can be used to get Royal Mail insurance to pay out to See Tickets. See Tickets should then be able to cancel the ticket (they have bar-codes, it shouldn't be too difficult to cancel that code), and reissue you with one.

I wouldn't confront him though, esp as he used to live in same street as you in Stanz, there's some dodgy types who live in Stanz.

Anyone at the delivery address can sign for a Special Delivery item - it does NOT have to be the intended recipient. Royal Mail simply have to get any old signature although if Mr.Postie has one of those electronic thingies that you sign on rather than just a card then you generally have to say who you are and I think those details are also typed in as well as getting the signature.

As the tix were technically delivered to the right address and were signed for by someone at that address then I guess Royal Mail aren't going to be that interested in doing anything much to help unfortunately. However, finding out where your local RM delivery depot is by phoning RM on 08457 740 740 and then if possible actually paying them a visit to explain the problem might well be loads better than trying to deal with them over the phone. It seems pretty obvious that there is much naughtiness going on here although I still reckon RM are likely to say "not really our problem" and all that but they should at least be able to advise you of the appropriate action to take if your mail has been blatantly stolen or otherwise acquired by someone else. It's all going to be more than a bit complicated due to the address error of course though :P

Defo talk to the Police and ask their advice plus get some evidence that you have such as a crime number and name of who you spoke to etc. if they are prepared to help in any way. Even if they're not going to actually do anything particular constructive to help, the fact that you have formally reported the issue does add lots more weight to any subsequent discussions with RM or See.

I suspect that See are the only peeps who are going to be able to really help here so contact them ASAP if you haven't already and explain exactly what's happened. But do make sure that you're "nice" with whoever you speak to (firm and insistent but always polite and all that) no matter how difficult that may be because, once again, I guess they could equally be well within their rights to say "not really our problem" because of the address error.

Just looking at the envelope I got from See ages back, it has their Nottingham office address printed on it (Norfolk House, 47 Upper Parliament Street, NG1 2AB), a printed 'stamp' and the Special Delivery label with barcodes etc. There is nothing else and there is certainly no other visible address other than the actual delivery address.

Do be sensible and VERY careful if/when talking to the c**t in question tho for obvious reasons. Apart from anything else, don't forget that he presumably now knows exactly where you live and that you're (hopefully) not going to be there for several days next month. Good luck, hope you get some help getting this sorted :)
