rob2000
Hi Guys, First time Glastonbury attender, sooo excited!!! Does anyone know of any good reputable blues bands that might be playing or where to go to hear music of that genre? Thanks
Craig_G
I'd love to know too but I'm not that clued up when it comes to acts. I guess the best bet is the Jazz World stage.

Craig_G
Not Blues but maybe you like some Jazz - Erik Truffaz is the best kept secret that I've seen so far
Craig_G
The Yuri's Choice track by Erik Turffaz is amking wish US3 were playing now.... I seriously love jazz hiphop and St Etienne style but it's so hard to find quality stuff.

whisty
Interesting. I've just checked him out on Spotify. Most of his stuff seems a bit too abstract for my tastes but liking The Dawn album.... thanks Edited May 28, 2009 by whisty
GingerRock
Yeah, Buddy Guy was awesome last year! Don't know about any well known blues acts this year.

Monorail Rider
Must admit I was hoping for BBKing or Joe Bonamassa to replicate the good performances of Buddy Guy and Eric Bibb last year but there's not much this time that I've found on an initial look. Though... http://www.myspace.com/martinharleyband Sounds quite promising
challengechappers
i would recommend Terry Reid (Park Stage Sunday) who, after his checkered history of just missing out on fame and fortune, sure should have the blues also, one of my favourite songs of his is called Rich Kid Blues. he has a hell of a voice (Superlungs they used to call him), he never really made a genre his own but he has recorded some fantastic soul, blues and rock songs. underrated guitarist too (he has jammed with Mick Taylor and of course he supported the Stones in the 60s when Jimmy Page wanted him to front the asyet unformed Led Zep....). played the first glastonbury in 1971 too. not to be missed imo!
