How To Get Close To The Stage?

takes like 2mins from where i am

would be impossible to go to the bar and then get back to your spot if you were at the front

or at least impossible without spilling most of your pint!!

I'v only ever been to Glasto, and near the front it can get pretty damn crushed, which is bad, but even a bit further back and you'l seriously sacrifice atmosphere (the one problem with Glasto is the crowds... boring as hell!). What's reading like in terms of this ?

I mean, if i was to stand like, by the soundstage, or a bit behind the second barrier, would people still be getting into it/singing along/ etc ?

It was absolute chaos last year during QOTSA and RATM.

Basically if you really want to get to the front, try and get there the band before the act you want to see, go down the sides of the field past the 2nd barrier and try to cut across into the middle.

did a konga line with about 10 of us last year half way through bloc party (had been watching justice which was highlight of my weekend) worked a treat, people too busy laughing at us to care and a few people even tagged on the end
