No more hypothetical than any other scenario... and (as far as I remember) no one's said it's 100% for sure definitely genuine... they're just saying that it seems that way...

I trust if you were spending that much money you'd at least have a half decent idea of what you were supposed to be buying was meant to look like...

Using that logic, you'd have to report pretty much every item on eBay...

eBay is built on trust (i.e. Feedback), that seller seems to have a perfectly legit selling history and feedback, there's always a risk, but then there's always a risk that you get sideswiped by a truck when crossing the street...

What?

That logic makes no sense either! Not all tickets have personal information on and definitely not your own photo. That's why it was brought up in the first place!

There are other threads and forums where people are mocking the idiots trying to sell their tickets!

This one person yes has amazing feedback, but doesn't stop it being a scam. I don't believe it is a scam but the person who said report it has every right to do so because this is a ticket different from a normal concert ticket which doesn't have a photo on it.

I've got an ebay account, but to be fair, I don't have a problem with people selling their tickets at face value or less. It's not touting, merely recouping a loss. The festival has done great work in stamping out the scourge of the touts, but in doing so has really made the tickets non-transferrable. Which means that whenever they make their cutoff for refunds, some people will end up not being able to go (and I know there's insurance, but did many people take it out?? I didn't)...anyway, for what it's worth, I hate touting with a passion, but this isn't really the same thing.

I would never go to Glastonbury without a ticket with my face on it, now anyway, or another legitimate 100% way of getting in. It's not the travel as such - imagine getting there, and being ALMOST there, and looking across at everyone getting their bands, bags and loo roll while you're stuck on the outside. Ultimate definition of gutted...

I suppose, you could meet the person at an internet cafe, put their reg number in the seetickets checker, and see that it's genuine. You could also check their reg number against the registration system? Or ask them to bring print outs of emails, the history of the ticket etc. There are ways to get more security on it. I wouldn't risk it myself, for fear of not getting in, but if someone wants to, they have the ability to secure themselves more effectively if they so wish...

From what someone said on another thread who works at the wristband place, it's a no no.

They're going to be very stringent at the door about photos. Even if they are not spotted when they enter, the way the wrist band system works is that if they do get found out later (spot checks, Police checks etc). The person on the door is responsible.

They can check who let them in by the wrist band number. And they wont work at Glasto again.
