MikeyB37
Its simple, fun music that will bring people together to have a good time. It doesn't offend, it doesn't challenge the mind but it is what it is.

tylerdurden
I know that but many others won't have it. I give up defending my favourite band now and just see them as the Man Utd of music - universally hated but top of the pile (with the odd slip up here or there). Ed209
surely the most corporate rock sellout band in history they had a 40 year career based on one tune. and have never had the good grace , hey maybe they were good for a time in the 60's. (only knew thy'd done an other song as they did the man utd cup final song which is sad cause they weren't even man u fans.) We had shaky last year but at least he was bad in a funny way Basically generations of music fans have grown up hating them so what are they doing there At least other novely acts put on the pyramid in previous years had a bit of comedy value. can eavis do worse next year only west life could be worse. dull and you cannot actually tell the difference between any of their songs. I don't actually mind them playing there as i can quite easily be somwhere else ,I'just shocked - they seem so un glaston bury not even fun enough to be a novelty band is it a scientific experiment by eavis to see whether the glastonbury crowd will basically go to see and enjoy an act on the pyramid stage however bad they are . as proved by jay z last year. So the last point don't go to see the quo don't just cheer any old crap or eavis will fill the pyramid with crap and you will be to blame. al232323
I won't be going anywhere near this, a novelty act too far if you ask me... In fact I think they've gone completely overboard on the novelty cheese this year, it was fine when there was one act but Rolf, Bjorn Again, Tom Jones, Spinal Tap, Tony Christie and Status Quo all on one bill is a bit much, just Spinal Tap would have been great. Monkismo
luclily i haven't heard all the status quo songs why would i if i didn't like the few i've heard. I never said they all sound the same but those 2 songs do sound very f**king similar i actually thought it was the same song. yes i have been to glastonbury a few times . i just don't think status quo should be encouraged they should wander round on their little nostagla tours playing holiday camps and try and keep that song off the air waves . their a plodding band who decided to be a plodding band and as such have no place at glastonbury which is supposed to be a festival of the arts about experimemntation and invention. thats not arogance its a reasonable conclusion

kohoutec
It's going to be great fun you miserable git My favourite band by a country mile is Pavement, who weren't exactly run of the mill, and I can't wait for a bit of Quo. Saying Oasis have written one of the best songs ever is laughable really (sorry) - they are the Status Quo of indie...

Abbathehorse
To be honest Crashnburn, I think you should make a stand against this and just not go to the festival if they offend you so much. This way, you can leave Glastonbury to those far less arrogant, ignorant and single minded than yourself. FFS, if you don't like them, don't go see them, I'm sure there might be one or two other things to see and do. There will be plenty of people that will be there enjoying them, don't you worry

jameshunt
What an idiotic post. I'm no Quo fan, but I'd far rather see them than than Blur - at least they've been around for more than 10 mins which indicates they know how to entertain a crowd! Why is it that youngsters seem to think that only "their" music matters, and any event should only be organised soley for their benefit? It's a big world out there, full of people of all different ages and all different tastes - thank god.
