What is it like camping in the Dance Field?

Most of the bands I want to see at glasto are playing on either Other Stage / Dance Village / John Peel / Park Stage so the most central camp site to these is the Dance Field.

However I suspect the very name suggests that it could be full of young rave heads partying all night. And as much as I like a good time, at my age, I need some sleep.

So what is this camp site really like? How packed does it get? How noisy is it? How flat is it? Can you find a quiet spot?

Any comments (or even photos?) greatfully received.

Thanks.

We normally camp there, at the South end, away from the Dance Village. It's pretty flat, not too noisy (although you've always got people walking past shouting, but I think you get that in most places). It gets quite busy -- by mid-afternoon on Wednesday it was mostly full. If you want a quiet spot you could head further out to Dairy or Paines Ground.

Seeing as I'm hoping to camp there again this year, I'll also mention that the place is crawling with murderers and rapists. And there's a fog-horn that goes off every half-hour. And the ground is covered with razor blades.

That should do it...
