Ive recently been introduced to dub (not dubstep! OR reggae) any recomendations of any bands/artists/dj's that will be appearing at glasto? I know the majority of what ive been listening to is old skool and probably most of them dead (i think) Zap Pow/King Tubby/Dirty Harry/Aggrovators!? and are there still live bands/dj's playing dub or was i born a couple of decades too late?

Steel Pulse are playing Jazz World.

They are a seminal UK reggae band. The only non-Jamaican reggae band to be taken really seriously at the Reggae Sunsplash festivals when they were still held in Jamaica - they caused a bit of a stir by coming on stage dressed up as the Ku Klux Klan!

Although they might not come under the 'dub' category, any decent reggae band from that era had dj's making dub versions of their music, and they showcase this when they're playing live.

Check them out on Youtube. Their most famous tracks include Handsworth Revolution, Ku Klux Klan, Prodigal Son and Sound System.

Also check out Channel One Soundsystem. They're playing one of the smaller areas of the dance village on the Sunday, as they did last year. We were camping fairly close to the dance village and after getting rightously sto**ed to Black Mountain we were chilling by our tent. Rest was impossible though as the earth would shudder every few seconds with the type of apocalyptic rumble that only a proper dub bass can deliver. We wondered over to inverstigate and it was just what the (bush) doctor ordered. By no means the biggest stage/crowd (the opposite, truth be told) but one of my highlights of the weekend. I'll definitely be checking them out again, see ya there.

JAH RASTAFARI...
