KatiePC
Fleet Foxes, Sun, Cider. Surely this is a recipe for some pure magic? I will be there rain or shine. One act I'm very excited about. I'm not alone surely.

KatiePC
good album, but I have to say they don't merit that slot yet. 7pm other stage at best yeah yeah yeah's have three great albums under their belt and should easily be third top pyramid. Mardy
I'm concerned that there's a lt of acts high-ish up on the bill with only one album. I reckon you need a bit of a back catalogue to successfully carry off a high spot. not just the fleet foxes, it seems to be a bit of a theme this year

FakeEmpire
Very excited about finally seeing Fleet Foxes. I really hope the sun shines for them - would be INCREDIBLE. Perfect summer bqand.
Mardy
Does it in all honesty matter? Is it really that much of an issue???? Can't everyone get off their high horse about where people are on the bill? If it came to length of back catalogue that warranted a high spot, Tom Jones or Status Quo would headline - then you'd have everyone moaning that way. I love discovering new bands whether it be first thing in the morning, afternoon or at night. Surely that's part of the fun in giving some newer bands exposure they otherwise wouldn't have. I really can't understand the problem.

Mardy
Well, in the case of Fleet Foxes, they haven't just released an album, they've also released two EPs with different material. Their catalogue is more than enough for a higher festival slot. No-one can ever win. Look at the headliners. People complain they're not current enough. But if they were current everyone would be complaining they don't have a large enough back catalogue.

Sweep
Nah, i think the answer is MORE new bands with shorter slots, in fact, I'm convinced that's the way forward. No 3 hour drawn out dull sets, 40 mins maximum, you can have a piss between bands, you don't get any shitty solos, it's all good.
Sweep
I like Fleet Foxes loads, but an album and 2 EPs hardly costitutes a back catalogue
KatiePC
If it is a fair point Glastonury has sold out. I just really can't see it to be an issue whether a band has one album or one hundred. As long as they get the support of the crowd it really doesn't matter. Lots of bands I have seen have had one album have done marvellously well, and others with loads of albums have been shocking. If a band has got it, they've got it - if they don't, they don't. Simple as that. Some time settings can cause differing reactions, but it's down to the artist playing. Expectations come with any act. And lets be honest, the majority of people won't have heard of people like Fleet Foxes, so will not necessarily have any expectations anyway.
