cabstar
Don't think it will create any trouble, just bring a raincoat for all the piss that will be thrown about
xxtinkerbellxx
had no trouble before at v, from all the noobs posts this year i get the impression the place is going to be full to the brim with little teenage chavs. oh the joys. Jonny!
There'll be a few wannabe hooligans, but only in the sense that they'll keep on chanting "Get your tits out for the lads". And lots of piss will be all about.
theramm
In 05' (Staffs) there was a definite shift in atmosphere when all the Oasis day ticket holders arrived. My only concern is with the line-up being much weaker throughout the day than in 05' there'll be less to distract the knob heads resulting in boredom/trouble. Bunny
Only thing I can remember is in 2007 when my missus was pregnant - some drunk lad kept falling into her so I gave him a nice gentle push and politely asked him to "go away" - he then rather amusingly tried to square up to me, only to get a smashing right hook from the missus!!!!! He went after that. Lesson learned - don't mess with an extremely hormonal woman...... Other than that, nothing obvious.

Flaminglippy
I think its irresponsible of the organisers to appeal to what are essentially massively diverse groups of people eg the Oasis/Mondays fans, the N-Dubz etc loving chavs and the 12 year olds or the profoundly hard of hearing that the rest of the bill will appeal to.... Diversity in a festival is great...but ultimately they should think about the issues that chucking loads of different people, who generally speaking don't get on and have little in common (the chavs and the chav-nots), into a field with unlimitied supplies of alcohol can inevitably cause Hopefully everybody will get along great...but if there is trouble then the organisers will only have themselves to blame. theramm
There's still something incredibly wrong, but very funny about a bunch of tweenie boppers wathcing Taylor Swift (whatever pop bollocks) getting showered with piss by steaming Oasis-Chav fans. Flaminglippy
isnt that what a festival is all about? getting a load of people from divers backgrounds and diverse attitudes on life together?
thetime
Yeah, absolutely...for me meeting new people etc is one of the best bits of going to festival. I just think this year there could be trouble. When Oasis headlined in 2005 there was more of an air of aggression about the place...and that was when the crowd was pretty much your normal V crowd...this year I think you're going to get a lot more people going for the pop crap...and combining the two could be a bad idea... Bunny
I think it could be more entertaining than the bands themselves. Thank god for the hospitality area!

staffsknot
I don't reckon there will be the bad atmosphere unless its very hot and something sparks it all off. Yes the Oasis fans will be generally your more rowdy but I don't think it will kick off... unless something like Liam refuses to sing or something. What I do think will happen is there will be several cliques all springing up, with none of them talking to each other - all the chav kids will be doing their own thing, the pop-tarts will be off listening to their bands and then the general festival types will be off enjoying themselves. Bit of a shame really as like people say half the fun of festivals is the random groups talking.

staffsknot
You'll be buying one of those toilet tidies next with the toilet roll hangers! Anyway in the event of trouble at V we could always use the solar shower as an inprovised watercannon! xxtinkerbellxx
Haha, yeah. If it isn't sunny.. I'm just going to fill it with warm water and *hey presto* I shall feel all lovely and refreshed!
