wah?

There is a competition on there to win camping gear for Glasto - here is what part of the competition says...

On Tuesday June 23 we will draw the winner and they will receive their Glastonbury Survival Pack in the post soon after, in time to take it to the festival.

What? A winner will be picked on June 23rd.

On June 23rd I will already be over 200 miles away from home and in Somerset getting ready to go through GateD early in the morning.

I think the police at Glastonbury do a marvellous and light-handed job, really professional and friendly, just keeping the peace, just how it should be...

And loving the Horsecam! Glastonbury is brought to you this year by Imperial, Redland, Beaufort, Cabot, Monty, St. Michael, Brunel and Somerset, yayyyyy

Quote from site -

"But what do the police actually do at Glastonbury Festival? Do the officers just wander round looking for people taking drugs and checking out the next band on the main stage?

And where are we? Do we stay in tents or do we have fancy caravans like the stars?

Who is there? As well as the uniformed PCs strolling round the site, there are officers on horseback, officers with dogs, officers with pedal cycles, covert officers looking like your average hippie and everything else from officers manning jail cells to the police helicopter hovering up in the sky. "

Undercover cops should be easy to spot then - have'nt seen an average looking hippie at Glasto for years !

Am I detecting some animosity here :lol:

Horse cam is great and so was the Lip salve they gave away.... has come in very handy!

Seriously though.

Never had any trouble and don't expect any...

However I am sure somebody will come along with a story about the fascist bullyboys making there life hell!:D:)

"They've spent hours on the internet registering their details, paid £175 for the ticket, borrowed your car and unearthed the tent from the garage and are about to set off for four days in a muddy field surrounded by thousands of strangers, listening to bands you've never heard of."

You think - finally, mum and dad have pissed off to Glastonbury, at last we can get some peace and bloody quiet!

That's a good website, I like it! But I like the police, on the whole. I always get the kids to smile and wave at any we see patrolling our streets, they love it! The kids quite enjoy it too.
