Ticket shocker

Guys,

I'm a glasto virgin this year, and subsequently very very excited. Even more so when my tickets arrived last Saturday... however my excitement soon turned to disappointment (and anger) when I realised they had not issued me with my ticket. Originally I had ordered 4 tickets, but due to unforeseen circumstances one had to be cancelled. I received 3 tickets in the envelope, and one of them was the cancelled ticket. See do not know where my ticket is, and I've been told I have to collect on the gate, because there's the possibility that my ticket is in circulation, even though they don't know where it is...! Surely they would be able to tell me where my ticket is / if it's been printed on their system. I am pretty concerned / nervous / distraught etc etc about this as I don't want to get turned away on the day. Can anyone help to ease my fears - have you ever collected a ticket on the gate on the day?!

Glad you found them! :D

I had a similar experience a few years ago with some Manics tickets. I was still living in Dublin at the time and so had tickets for a friend and I delivered to a mate in London. Come the day the tickets still hadn't turned up at my mates house. Distraught I rang Seefail who told me that the tickets had been signed for 2 weeks earlier. In a total panic, I called him at work and asked him what was a-happening but he claimed with total certainty that this was not the case. So I rang the post-office only to be told that they had not only been signed for, but they had been signed for by my mate!

Turns out my mate has an appalling memory and had actually signed for them, then hidden them under his mattress in a 'safe place'. Now it's one thing to forget where the safe place is, but to forget the tickets altogether is the act of an eejit and a madman! Luckily his mother was down for the weekend and used her maternal knowledge of her sons brain to find them. Went to gig, had fun, the end.

I am due to marry said eejit sometime in the future. ;):D
