i've had it a few weeks now and i've loved it from the first listen, definitely their most in depth and well thought through and grown up work to date and as a album in it's entirety it is their best to date the first album has some better tracks on it but as an album doesn't quite match up to this new one.

both the first and newest album are better than empire but that's not to say empire didn't have it's moments and some amazing songs specifically made to be played live.

it's not that i think their other work is immature or poor or anything i just think they've grown as artists on this album.

saw them live a coupe, of weeks ago and the new songs are sounding immense live especially Underdog!

Very Strong Album, not in my opinion as strong as Kasabian, but definatly better than Empire. My only criticism, and its hardly anything, is the lack of real up beat songs.

50% of the album is more in the blur-Tender mold, rather than the bish bash bosh Club Foot.

This in truth is obviously the band progressing, and they are some quality tunes (happiness, Secret Alphabets, Where did the love go, thick as thieves), however when i imagine Kasabian, i want those crowd bouncing powerful songs, which i can sing along too in the car. I'm definately fulfilled here with Fire, Fast Fuse, Underdog, Vlad the Impaler and Take Aim which i imagine all of which will be sensational live.

In conclusion, this is definately on par, if not better than the best album i have bought this year (The Rifles- The Great Escape). After hearing it, with all the hype and anticipation, i thought it was missing one more bouncy, electric track.

But i cannot wait to see them on the Pyramid

...I've had this for about a week now and I never got around to listening to it (I was fairly obsessed with the first album but they lost me completely with empire, hence my apathy)...Just listening to it for the first time now and initial impressions are a BIG improvement on Empire...Underdog is as good as anything on the first album, Fast Fuse is cracking too...yet another spanner in the works, I'd convinced myself to go and see Pendulum, feck it, I might just have to stay at the pyramid after all ;)

Edit: In fact, Undergdog might just be the best song Kasabian have ever writeen...great stuff!
