posting tickets

I would use special, I sent a first class recorded not long ago and even now the tracker says it has not been delivered, yet I have heard back from the place I posted it too so I know they got it.

I went fricking mental at royal mail considering I am demanding 6k back from halifax and adding 8% statutory interest a day lol, they fobbed me off with oh you cannot complain until after 15 days has passed

I personally would never use Royal Mail again but unfortunately, i'm too lazy to fins another way. Best bet is special delivery because if it goes missing in the post, all the insurance they quote is total bollocks and it'll take you a mission to get compensation, if you get compensation. There's loads of articles about how royal mail rip off their customers each year doing this too. Cost me £75 to realise that they were sh*t!

Also, SEE won't duplicate tickets, especially if you had signed for them and decided to post them to someone.

I'd hold on to them and meet him at the festival, safer that way.

no no no no no no!! do NOT post them with royal mail!!! absolutely not. whatever you do definitely do not send them, even by special delivery.

i dont want to recount my tale of woe in too much detail but this is exactly what my friends did to send them to me in 2007. they sent them special delivery and they never turned up. not seetickets problem as they arrived at their orginal destination before being forwarded. not glastonburys problem for the same reason. royal mails problem but theres nothing they can do about it except eventually give you a refund. if the tickets go missing after they have been delivered by see you will NOT get in to the festival. believe me we tried very, very hard to get in but were still turned away.

so i really wouldnt risk it! get your mate to pick them up in person. might be a mission but the only way you can guarantee he gets it.

It is a risk but there are ways and means. My friend posted mine to me, recorded delivery, and I got it the next day no problem. She put it in an unmarked envelope with no window or clues as to what was in it and it was fine. Use the secure delivery methods to make it a bit safer.

yeah go for it if you have to, just make it look as inconspicuous as possible. just be aware that just because something is special delivery doesnt mean it will actually turn up. post can and does get stolen.

99.9% sure that they'd arrive safely, we were just very, very unlucky. If faced with the same situation again id definitely pick them up myself, even if they were hundreds of miles away.
