What will your 'out of office' assistant say?

How is that unprofessional?? Idiots!

She's a lovely woman, but our HR boss is a bit trigger happy when it comes to anything like that. If it shows personality it is unprofessional.

Had to play safe with a "out of the office until blah, in my absence contact blah"

But it's now on and I'm free, free I tell you!

I work for Orange so wondering if I can get away with this:

"I am currently out of the office as I have been given the unfortunate task of Chief Security Officer accompanying the Orange Chill and Charge tent on it's journey to Glastonbury. My main duty is to check once a day, whilst walking between stages, that it is still there. Knowing the weather at Glastonbury it could be a dirty job but someone had to do it"

What I'd like to say . . . .

"I'm not here and depending on what day and at what time you sent your E-mail, I may not even be on this planet. I'll be returning to work once I've torn myself away from Glasto-land, washed the mud from my tent and managed to sober up. Please recall your E-mail, I won't have sufficient brain cells left to respond upon my return."

Unfortunately, I work for a large 'Blue Chip' corporation that has a process for everything, including a standard form for your Out of Office Assistant so I'll have to say . . . .

"I am currently Out of the Office on Annual Leave, returning to work on Wednesday 1st July. If your query is urgent, please contact ***** ****** in the Cardiff Office on *** **** ****."
