It's a difficutlt one. The most promiscuous girls I know are very insecure, and in the way they beg for attention at social events or on the town, It's clear that they are shagging around to try and make themselves feel wanted... It works as a quick fix to cover up the gaping hole in their self esteem. I don't think that there aren't any huge moral implications with this, though, It doesn't do them any good, and it makes sex less of a personal, mutual and meaningful thing.

On the other hand experimentation & enjoying sexual freedom isn't a bad thing as long as it's done on a mutual level and you play safe and are sensible enough to not get emotionaly attatched. The question of whther its a bad thing to sleep with 3 guys in one weekend is completely subjective. If you're just having fun and that's the mutual arrangement than it's cool, But if you're doing it to feel wanted and cover up you're insecurities than theres a deeper issue that needs adressing. I think it's a lot worse for girls to lead guys on and (hate to use this phrase) "cocktease" to feel wanted & cover up their insecurities.

Confessing your sexual conquests doesn't necesarily reek insecurity.

I'd agree with this, as soon as you turn sex into a massive taboo, then young people are attracted to it. If you aproach it in a mature way, then people can enjoy it with no huge risk. The same can be said for drugs and alcohol.

And Walter Sobchak are you really are sounding like Piers Morgan, Paul Dacre & Richard LittleJohn rolled into one..... Turn it down a notch mate, Open your mind & for f**k sake, leave single mother out of the debate & don't make hypocritical point that make out that it's different for a lad to have a lot of sexual partners.

Jim's dad from american pie would be the perfect guy to consult on this.

Whilst as the festival, I think it's normal to have no sex, although some people do. My average is 0. That's not to say it's a bad thing, just depends on the reasons. Stay safe though.

Is it directly affecting you? do you REALLY care that much?

Its alright if you're jealous that shes having sex and you are not. Let it go though :O
