First Really Serious Thing You Have Done In Preparation For Glastonury

Putting up the massive 9 man tent we've got this year for a trial run a few weeks ago was probably the first serious thing I did in preparation. Also did our flag the other night which was 3 hours of painting fun! :O

Not got much left to sort out now, some more booze and toiletries and that's about it.

Wow - campervan!

Unfortunately I still don't have enough savings to buy one - so I bought a new air-bed in preparation for the festival yesterday.

I've also just bought 2 Festival Kits from www.4kits.co.uk - they're absolutely brilliant - I recommend them to anyone spending a weekend in a muddy field this summer - you get loads for your money (travel size toiletries & loads more stuff). My girlfriend has banned me from talking about them - but sshhhhhh - get one - they're mint, you'll just need one of their festival kits & your tent & you're done!

That reminds me - think I need a new tent - from the smell of that yesterday. Anyone know where there's deals on tents? come-on - in esxchange for the tip on www.4kits.co.uk

Cheers

As the Glasto World Cup has pretty much taken up our lives at the moment :( , the only thing that me and chazeboy have really done is test our tent last weekend! Oh and I got new gaters, and made a flag........... must go and make a list of things to do?

Less than two weeks until we leave (driving down from Inverurie!!) so better get my arse in gear!!

I checked my tent and other camping equipment yesterday, turns out not much extra needs to be purchased, which is good news.

Will have to make a list at some point to make sure though.

Bought wet wipes, dry shampoo and a sleeping bag.

Also bought ribbons to plait into my hair about a month ago....good plan for hair is plait it in lots of french plaits for the first half of the week and take them out in the second half giving big wavy hair that doesnt need brushing and for some reason hair doesnt get greasy so quickly!

Buying material and elastic today to make my own tutu which is a glasto poroject i'm very excited about!

2 weeks wednesday!!!!!!!!!! :D:(

Well I decided I had to get a driving licence and get mobile before Glastonbury. I'm 36 years f**king old and never got round to as I'm really not that reponsible or organised

Anyway, realised recntly that Glastonbury was coming up... booked the old theory test and nailed that... had a bunch of driving lessons (one every night last week type of arrangement....)... bought meself a cheap vehicle... couldn't get a test before G'bury, but checking for cancellations every day - gotta good feeling it'll come together (and all in the sapce of about a month  )

I almost feel like an adult.

Today I have bought a calor gas canister for our little stove thing, 2 air bads and a bright pink pac-a-mac which claims to be waterproof to 2M (whatever that means), breathable and windproof - it is sooo perfect for adverse conditions that it is now bound to be sunny all weekend - even at night!
