Mr Ploppy
Took a setlist from the amazing sugarmtn.org from Neils gig in The Netherlands a few days ago. The setlist is: Love And Only Love / Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black) / Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere / Pocahontas / Spirit Road / Cortez The Killer / Cinnamon Girl / Mother Earth / Don't Let It Bring You Down / Lost In Space / Heart Of Gold / Comes A Time / Old Man / Mansion On The Hill / Get Behind The Wheel / Rockin' In The Free World // Like A Hurricane Thought it might get some of us in the mood to be able to watch performances for these tracks. Have gone through a chunk of youtube to find the best versions to best convey him live. Most of this is from handheld video at concerts so dont expect pristine audio & visuals. Enjoy. Pauljoanss
Yes very well done, shame Cotez The Killer has been taken down. If he plays that sort of set list then I will be in 7th heaven, just praying for Hurricane but looking at the recent set lists, it does not always seem to be included. Must make a real effort and get down the front, Fiday is my 1st full day so should have some energy. Easy to say now sitting at a keyboard but we all know how tiried you get at the end of a Glast day.
StormCrow
Thanks great post, there are so many variations he could have done but I am happy with that set list, just need to get those onto my ipod now.

staggerlee
No probs Gotta say tho that I am not a fan of his Day In The Life and although I would happily listen to it and enjoy it - I would be gutted if he played it as a replacement for Like A Hurricane. He seems to be ending on either Hurricane or Life and having never seen Neil live befoire I want him to play Hurricane. Its something that will either make it a classic gig for me - or end it on a disappointment. I doubt he will play both and I have a feeling it will be Day In The Life that he plays. Mr Ploppy
Ah didn't realise he only played one. Despite Day in the Life being probably my favourite song ever, I would opt for Like a Hurricane as it's man himself playing it.
staggerlee
There are some fantastic videos there. Love Old man. Young unlike Dylan for example (not that I am comparing the two as I see little resemblance) seems to have kept his showmanship and looks like he still enjoys performing. toooldtoknowbetter
Oh FFS!!! As if I'm not excited enough already without this kind of thread.... Thanks my friend - excellent stuff. It can't come soon enough.... "If he does play Like a Hurricane and makes that guitar beg for mercy for 8 minutes then I think it would probably be the highlight of the whole festival for me - if not my life. " Mr Ploppy, you been reading my mind? Edited June 9, 2009 by toooldtoknowbetter
