Like the title it doesn't strike you straight the way, but I think it's a bold statement that fits in with their new attitude, i think it's quite classic.

Shit cover to be fair. Wonder why they went for it. This is an example of how not to do a cover using a photo of the band.

i think it is quite important that it is memorable and catches what the band is about at the particular period.

look at albums such as nevermind, abbey road and morning glory. the artwork on albums such as these stays in your head and is instantly recognisable.

I fear there are a lot of people like you today, which I find a real shame. Album art is an esential part of the whole proccess and I wish more people cared about it.

Why so? I thought the opposite - They hired a respected photographer who got a decent photo of all four members, It has a retro feel which fits in with the music, there is a lot more going on than what first hits the eye, there is a playful use of lighting, there are lots of lines that cross all over the cover which adds some tension and I really like the double exposed look hes gone for which is different to the airbrushed look most bands have on their covers.

The Morning Glory cover is shocking though - even the band say it!
