Whyyyyyy does Lightspeed Champion have to clash

I don't understand why they're putting ALL the bands I want to see on the Sunday and the ones I don't care about too much on the other days, I feel like I'm going to be full of regret no matter who I end up seeing that day and the dance tent hasn't even been announced yet, and if someone amazing is headlining that I will have to seriously consider doing bits of each headliner...

and yet Saturday there's STILL no headliners I actually want to see.

Jack's Mannequin though... Although I'm surprised they're chucked in the small print, I thought they had a pretty big fan base?

I'm pretty happy with this. Second Bronx set, Black Lips, A Place to Bury Strangers, Baddies, Big Pink, Fight Like Apes, Joy Formidable, Pulled Apart By Horses, Soft Pack, Titus Andronics and White Denim are all worth checking out. Plus a few others I need to look into.

So The Blackout are headlining the FR stage on friday.. that's shit for my purposes.

Oh well The Gossip it is then.

I'm guessing that too, 36 and BFS are more tent bands than mainstage bands. Both should be in Lock up me thinks, never the less i hope 36 are still playing

very surprised about La Roux headlining, thought she would of been quite high up in the dance tent. Who does this actually leave for the dance tent now? Cos if the headliners on the Sunday are Radiohead, Lostprophets and Pendulum then that is crappy because that is 3 very decent headliners all in one night...

happy about maramaduke duke tho would probably see them over kings, depending on the mood.

apart from that, i dont really know anyone else. might have to give some a listen.

Didn't this stage used to be reserved for credible bands? especially the headline slots. Bring me The Horizon and la Roux?? this also means that there are two bands playing two slots this year. Maybe we'll just have half as many bands next year all playing two sets. That really is lazy booking. Despite the grumble, there's a fair few bands I'll see - Middle Class Rut, Pulled Apart By Horses, Golden Silvers. Really disappointed theres no-one I want to see headlining on the Arctic Monkeys day

I know the feeling, I've never been to a festival where I didn't want to see any of the headliners but none of the Arctics, Gossip, Rise Against or The Black Out appeal in the slightest. I saw the Arctics at the Manchester Academy 2 supporting Nine Black Alps and they played like there lives depended on it but this was before they had released a single, I then saw them 2 years ago at the G-Mex and they had turned bland and boring and just went through the motions.

I guess its back to the tent for me to get drunk unless the new Arctics album is dramatically better than the last they brought out.

Piss poor headliners but I'm quite happy Lightspeed Champions playing.

Just realised, there is not one headliner I want to see on the Friday.

Yeah, don't get me wrong - I quite like them. Saw them in the Carling Tent (2005?) then a couple of times since, including when they sub-headlined to Muse. It's just they don't excite me as a headliner prospect - someone you wake up in your tent in the morning and think "F***! I'm gonna see .....tonight", ie Pumpkins, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Pixies etc etc etc

Actually, on that note - I'm gonna be watching Faith No More in 3 days time, woohoo!

Exactly my thoughts, Faith No More will make/save this festival for me personally, I wish I was seeing them at Brixton or Download though I will be watching the live stream from the Download website on Friday night with a few cold beers, enjoy.
