The Living End will be good, although apparently their newer stuff is shit. Middle Class Rut will be good also. But that's it for me. Lame.

Saw Living End in Norwich a few weeks ago and they are one of the most exciting live bands around. An oasis in a dessert of indie that day though. The overall line-up is very disappointing though after last year's stunner.

Went to see Marmaduke Duke live earlier this year - f**king amazing. The balls out screamy rock from the first record (e.g. The Red And The Number, the Kill And The Kure) will go down great and Simon Neills looking more energised than he has ever done with Biffy - diving into the crowd off the roof of the cloakroom and stuff, and there are definately some songs with killer hooks to them from album two.

Recommended highly.

Exactly my thoughts, Faith No More will make/save this festival for me personally, I wish I was seeing them at Brixton or Download though I will be watching the live stream from the Download website on Friday night with a few cold beers, enjoy.

Disappointed that nothing jumps out straight away (unlike 2007 where you had Silversun Pickups & battles) but I'll give most of these acts a listen when I have some time.

I can see myself spending alot of time in the Festival republic stage. Not because I think the line-up is amazing but there just isn't much interesting me on the bigger stages.

black lips/white denim/lightspeed champion/amazing baby/big pink, hell yeah. best festival republic lineup ive seen yet, i might spend most of time there this year! wish people would appreciate other peoples taste, rather than dismissing the lineup as awful.

if you miss black lips then you're no fun.

Anyone unimpressed with the FR additions check out Soulsavers with Mark Lanegan - Really great music reminiscent of nick cave mixed with massive attack but a whole lot of eclectic soul and reverb thrown in the mix for a truly unique triphop sound. combine that with a legendary frontman; they're gonna be one of the best bands of the festival for me.
