Sleep deprivation and inability to get ANYTHING DONE!

I know it's close now but not being able to get to sleep at all because you have spent too many hours on Efests, chatting with Efesters til the early hours and generally having one's head filled with nothing but images and memories of site, thoughts of what you are going to get up to, the smells in the air making you go all wibbly, the wind in the air whispering, the buzz...oh the buzzing that just wont go away?

Anyone else fast becoming a walking zombie cos they cant concentrate, sleep and constantly dreaming and thinking of it all?

And as for myself...add to that the first Orbital show in 5 years tomorrow... the feeling the pressure is getting to me is now getting a wee bit too much!

To many things to do yet to start buzzing properly, got my birthday, my sons birthday,a wedding and 2 weeks left at work yet. By the time I go to bed at night I'm shattered, I'm going to the gym as much as possible for the next to weeks to get fitter for glasto so that takes my mind of things.

I bought 200 cigs off someone at work today though so that's my second purchase.

After booking Old Oaks for the pre Glasto solstice do, i'm now in full Glasto mode. Heart racing, can't eat, probably wont be able to sleep. As for Orbital, I'm insanely Jealous!

I had to buy Nytol today as I haven't been sleeping properly for weeks! My excitement is also not helped by the fact I'm going to IOW this weekend as a Glasto warm up.

Think I will also need them at Glasto as my hours sleep went down from Weds 4, Thurs 3 then Fri 2. I was getting weirder and weirder as the weekend went on until I managed to get a whole 6 hours in on Saturday night and felt reborn for Sunday!

I should point out that lack of sleep wasn't down to hard drug abuse

I used Nytol last year at Glasto, they worked a treat, except on the Sunday night, when I crawled in to bed at 4:30am, took 2 nytol washed down with another can of lager, only to be awakened at 5:15am as my chauffer wanted to beat the traffic and I had to pack up.

Fighting sleeping tablets and alcohol whilst having to pack a tent and walk 2 miles to the car is one of the hardest things I've done in a long time.

Got 3 exams next week, but come wednesday lunchtime I'll have all my excitement at once!

Coming into work on the Wed morning before I leave for Glasto so I really can't see much work getting done that day - I'm amused at the mere thought of it.

Anyone wanna do my exams next week so I can start packing? Free to a good home :)

This is the first year ever I'm not really feeling it :)

I think my wrist injury in Dubai and my recent car accident have given me other stuff to think about. I have no doubts whatsoever though that I will feel that rush of adrenaline the minute I set foot on site if not before :)

I'm loving this time of year.

I have taken 2 of my kids to 2 separate festivals and i forewarned them to try to keep up with me. All I could hear was "Does he ever eat or sleep", and it is really difficult trying to get your teenage daughter to come out and play at 6am.

I am slowly building myself up for next week. eeeek!!!

Do they have to be legal ways? :)

I find that beer is the best way to keep going. Even with the worst hangovers, by the time I get halfway through my second pint of beer for the morning I find a second wind and can party hard again.

I'm more worried about not being able to stay awake on night 4 of 6 after at least 3 days of solid drinking. I tend to crash after 2 nights on the piss!

Anyone got any safe ways to keep going that aren't Red Bull/Caffeine based? :):)

My hand is up...... I am thinking of nothing else but need to get a grip. I have work that needs to be finished up, son has cub camp and I need to pack everything, not only for Glasto but for the kids to stay at mums and the dogs to go to their dogsitters. But I just want to sit and look at Efest all day or make random statuses up on facebook about Glastonbury. This time in 2 weeks I will liturally be peeing myself with excitement, last year I had to take hebal calms!
