More acts NOT playing V

Based on the acts who have apparently self-confirmed for V, I don't think our next announcement is likely to set the world alight either...(assuming we get one at some point)

But yeah, if they manage to accidently slip Idlewild into the announcement with McFly etc, it would take the edge off a little...

I think last year we got an announcement to start with, one in late April, one in late June, and one in July to wrap up.

This year seems to be following the same pattern, so you may have 2 weeks-plus before you get an announcement, which in any case will be confirming all the dross that's already given up the will to live and self-confirmed anyway. Seems to be the shoddy way they like to treat the V punters. We are but mere mushrooms being kept in the dark awaiting the next pile of shite.

I should keep your expectations r-e-a-l-l-y low. That way you won't get disappointed. Last year we got Lost Prophets (for what it was worth, they were pish), and The Hold Steady (better) late on, but I'd be really surprised if we get any surprises like that.

And in any case, one cannot polish a turd

I genuinely think if all the festivals gave people their money back and said they could rebook if they wanted to...the V site would end up looking like Walsall town centre on a Saturday night (except the people would be better dressed and the smell of shit wouldn't be as strong at V)

Our lot have already decided its T or Reading next year with a couple of smaller ones thrown in. Rockness for example, has my two favourite bands this year (Furrys and Flaming Lips), costs less and is a day longer.

lippy I like your style with the lips and placebohealdining a stage at rockness looks very good.

I would highly recommend you doing the smaller festivals they are in my opinion alot better, less crowded, mroe friendly.

Im trying to convince myself to do a day at v, but im really struggling. Lattitude stillg ot tickets available :D

Yeah...I like smaller festivals. A) They try harder and :D you're treated less like cattle.

Only really go to V now because its become a sort of tradition...but the same could be said about sending kids down mines and burning people alive who don't believe in God...(both of which I reckon will be preferable to V this year)

If it wasn't for Elbow and The Specials I don't think I'd bother going this year, even if I couldn't sell my ticket
